Just breezed through a run with dark bum. I can confirm that the heart drop rate is virtually unchanged. Got maybe four or five spiders over the whole run, but it's really easy to see them and avoid them. There are tons of items that have been underpowered since launch, but no one seems to be too upset about those. But when the devs nerf something that they think is overpowered everyone flips a shit. I don't get it.

Everyone has runs where they eat shit on basement or caves and die easily. Everyone has runs where the game is so broken that you 1-shot mom's heart within seconds. It's just how the game plays, and it's what makes it fun.

So the "halo of flies" in the patch notes are actually pink ring flies enemies. So now they'll form a new circle if there are more than 10 of them...what the fuck is the point? And people are over exaggerating about Dark Bum nerf, it's still 1.5:1 reward, but there's a small chance to get spiders instead of a heart(basically making it occasionally a 3:1). It's still gonna be a top tier item [editline]11th December 2014[/editline] Now I'm only salty about Lil brimstone nerf

I just defeated Mom with half a heart left. shit that was intense. I got lucky and got lil brimstone and a bunch of other stuff. basically i had excessive amounts of psychic tears orbiting around me for protection and used Lil Brimstone as my proper damage output. im bad though so i fucked up and died to loki in utero 1 :( Seed if you're interested, Lil Brimstone is literally the first item you get (normal mode): Z7F2 XHSN

damnit, I always get the coolest combos when I have the 1d4 and thus can't see what items I actually have I was playing as azazel, and when my laser was charged letting go of it would leave a little swirly red thing where I was stood, and then my brimstone would shoot from that like a second later gonna go ahead and assume it was antigrav, but I've never had it with brimstone/azazel before

Yeah I'm pretty sure its the Dr Manhattan item. I had a similar experience with Azazel a long time ago, but it didn't ruin my groove as harshly as Cursed Eye interacting with Soy Milk.

God i hate spiders. Their pattern is so unpredictable it makes me angry.

When they stand still, if you're in their range as soon as they start moving they will move to your latest position. So move somewhere else when they move and you're in the gold
