No they still can spawn next to special rooms, you just can't bomb your way into the special room anymore.

Y'know, speaking of Curse Rooms, I've had an idea. We all know them as that one room with the spikes in the door, which contains a Red Chest or demonic item, but here's a thought. What if, on a floor where a curse is in effect, there is a cursed statue in the Curse Room keeping the curse in effect, and if you bomb the statue you remove the curse and get a random reward associated with the curse, along with increased chance for an Angel Room.
In the case of Curse of the Labyrinth, bombing the statue would yield a Forget Me Now, giving you the option of truly removing the curse by resetting the floor, OR a We Need To Go Deeper, giving you the opportunity to skip the Labyrinth and continue onward. Having the There's Options item would give you a choice between the two.
there's already the purity rune and black candle, if you could remove the curse on any floor with a curse room it would be too easy

Trites are just as predictable as well. They have a 1.5 seconds idle time, after that they either jump on your location or jump randomly. So move as soon as you feel they'll jump and you're fine. That worked in the original BoI as well

I really hope this is another unintended glitch. surely spending two bombs in place of 1 key/coin is a fair trade??? Whatever, if they really fixed the lumps then I can't be too disappointed. I'll see what they're like in a bit just to confirm it.

I'd prefer if the curse of the question mark items was removed or at least changed. I hate how it can easily fuck up your run and how it forces you to ignore shop items/devil deals most of them time unless you have lots of hp, money or it's depths 2. To be honest, I'd be fine with it if only the devil deals weren't "?", risking item rooms/shop items isn't that huge of a problem.
I bet that Spelunky-like Ghost curse would be a much lesser drawback than this right now. Well, I actually think it could work very will if balanced properly too, worst case scenario you won't be able to find secret rooms, destroy rocks, skulls and stuffs, and spend time on machines.
Oh and I don't really see the point in Curse of the maze.
I think it should move you more often or to a much further room, but in exchange it doesn't work in rooms you already visited(or it can only teleport you to a room you haven't) because otherwise going back to that one slot machine at the very beginning of the level will be tedious as fuck considering it will keep moving you to the wrong room all the time.
I mean right now it repeats a room you've beaten most of the time while just very rarely it will actually put you to a room you wouldn't go otherwise. It's a borderline useless curse.

Wow, so Dark Bum got changed. It now takes two hearts in a devil deal, requires two hearts to convert, and will now sometimes spawn friendly spiders instead of a heart, or it might spawn ENEMY spiders. What a load of crap.

Actually that's not totally true. He still only takes 1.5 hearts to spawn something, and he's VERY LIKELY to spawn soul hearts. The odds of him spawning friendly spiders are pretty low, and the odds of him spawning enemy spiders are WAAAY lower. Not nearly as bad of a nerf as everyone's been making it out to be.

it could pick up hearts i'm not using and turn them into coins for all i care, it's a great familiar that minimizes wasted hearts and makes them useful no matter what it turned them into, the only reason you're upset is because you're used to the state it was in on release which was utterly broken
i think one of the main reasons for the dark bum change was that there was absolutely no risk in taking it and most devil room items are meant to be high risk high reward, the spider change to it was probably because it spawns soul hearts at a ridiculous rate (using waste resources)
I'll have to get one in a run and see it for myself. I've heard differing things from a lot of people. Most negative. The fact that it can even spawn enemy spiders is just what irks me.

Not just good, Dark Bum is still OP as fuck, people complaining are fucking retarded lmao
I already said this earlier today, it's still 1.5:1 for Soul Hearts, but there's now a very small percentage for a spider instead so it's very rarely gonna be 3:1 instead. Saying that taking him is [i]just[/I] gonna pay off is an understatement, it still very easily carries the run.
And Dark Bum is a demon who iirc tries to take your life or something, I wonder why it would give spiders, huh?

I don't mind the nerf that much. I got Dark Bum about three times in all my runs. First time I fucked up and died too soon, the second I had the worst luck with hearts, the recent third made the run super easy.
Literally my best run ever. I think I became the host of the holy RNGesus.
