That random bombs item from Community Remix would be way more interesting if every bomb you dropped was of a random type rather than the type being determined at the start of the room

Did they lower the rate at which special items spawn in the chest/the dark room?
I only ask because before I remember going through the chest and getting some really cool items as I went, but in my most recent attempts I went through the chest with only five special items appearing, four of which were in the starter room, and the dark room without getting a single special item, not even from the chests in the starter room.

They're items from community remix.
Tammy's Paw exchanges a heart container for a permanent tears up.

Plus it would be way better now that we have 3 new bomb types to choose from. I didn't know the type was determined at the start of the room though, but to be honest I haven't obtained it very often during my runs with the Community Remix. That kinda sucks.

just did a run that had 4 angel rooms in it. I could've built two keys fucking hell. Still haven't gotten any of the many angel rooms items I've never seen yet tho ffs.

You probably know this but you can reroll the key pieces
I played about 20 runs in a row until I got Sacred Heart with stuff like the D6 and Perthro, or the D6 and the Habit and Temperance, or the D6 and the Battery (stores energy) and it never bothered showing up until I was randomly doing a race against a friend. And then the next 2 runs in a row after that. v_v

Ipecac + Fire Mind + Split Shot = Carpet Napalm.
That right there was a SINGLE SHOT. I lose health all the time because of it, but it's usually one self hit per floor or so. That with Pyromaniac would be unstoppable.
Sadly that was from a seed, because i wanted to play with Ipecac and it never spawns for me.
wow. just did my first boss rush and it's crazily intense. most of the time I didnt even know what was going on and I was just walking shooting stuff and dodging attacks. shame I didnt get any good items out of it :(

I just had a very silly run as Isaac.
Managed to pick up Epic Fetus early on. My goal was to find Godhead for the first time.
Upon entering a caves shop, I find the Sharp Plug. I figure, what the hell, I'll reroll the angel room a few times instead of just once.
Depths 2, I manage to do exactly that. I didn't manage to reroll it into the item I wanted, but I DID manage to reroll into the wafer. Sharp plug only takes half a heart now.
In womb 1, I reroll the angel room key into Godhead. It doesn't actually do anything with Epic Fetus. Things go pretty smoothly, but shit goes [i]bananas[/i] when I manage to get into the chest. I reroll every item I find into something useful. I manage to get fiery mind, tear bombs, fire bombs, polyphemus, and a whole host of other ridiculous items. Every single time my bomb fly exploded, everything in the room died.

Turns out the book of anarchy summons bombs that carry all the bomb properties you have.
I found undefined, so I repeated the level again, finding even more items including soy milk, ipecac, and [i]pyromaniac[/i]. I thought I had officially run out of ways to find extra items until I found Forget Me Now, and I cleared that level too. Then I found the D20. This is the first run I've ever had where I actually found red poop useful - I would hurt myself on them to recharge the D20 (I couldn't use the sharp plug because I had found Isaac's heart), and because of Gimpy, I would summon soul hearts which I could reroll into chests to find even more items. I did this long enough that I actually managed to completely exhaust the item pool.

I didn't use the D100 because I'm pretty sure that it would completely cripple my character. I've had a few OP runs ended when a reroll left me with 1 damage and next to no fire rate, for whatever reason. I think it's because the game runs out of things to give you, so you just get a whole bunch of breakfasts, and all your stats reset to default.

So I just picked up Ipecac for the first time. I think it was 1st or 2nd floor item so rest of the run was trivial.

The only unlocks you get on hard are The Lost's, and co-op buddies by beating mom's heart with every character.
