really? cause I usually destroy isaac without taking any damage but I find satan very hard to predict + he summons that annoying mini boss before teh fight.
I've only fought Isaac once like ever whereas I've faced Satan 5-6 times so maybe that's where it's coming from.
I think my challenge idea is more worthy than the current most upvoted

Just got level 3 bandage girl, peeper, BBF, and daddy long legs. Couldn't resist when I saw gnawed leaf in the boss rush room... Spent the next 10 minutes standing still doing nothing to get through Blue Baby without taking damage haha
Fucking shit why does the wiki keep freezing in the steam browser.
Maybe if I had it up I wouldn't have fucked myself over by getting the Cat Of Nine Lives if I found out what it was before.
For some reason some wikis seem to kill the steam browser. I've come across a Fallout NV one that causes a crash and error when navigated to.
For isaac look up the item cheat sheet if you really need to find something out. Loads fine, can be a pain to find the right item if you don't know what it's called though (as the entries are in alphabetical order).

my mouse stops working when i go to the steam browser in rebirth, so i just alt+tab to chrome now instead.
I got to Isaac as unknown on hard mode the other day. Unfortunately Isaac on hard is bloody difficult.

You're imagining things
Hard mode changes these things
Rooms contain more advanced enemies and in a higher number.
Causes champions to spawn more often, however, they award fewer consumables.
You are less likely to receive hearts after completing a room.
Bosses no longer drop red hearts when defeating them.
You are more likely to be cursed on each floor.
You are more likely to receive the harder version of a floor (e.g. Necropolis instead of The Depths)

shoot enemies until they die and don't get hit by enemies until they die
Did they change the Isaac fight a bit in the recent update? I feel like it's much harder now.
First form seems to fire much more tears, and third form moves towards you.

the third form has always moved towards you, and i haven't noticed a difference in the first.
finally got scared heart which happened after I got fetus. What made it special was that I got mr mega bombs and in the end poison bombs, homing bombs, and the parasite which made me shoot large homing bombs and those bombs split into to smaller bombs which had homing as well.

also from the run a rock spawned in the wall and I was able to move forward, if it was already addressed the issue is still in v1.014

Now that I think about it, I may have been killing him so fast that I never really saw all of his attacks until I got a shitty run :v:

Cain. Even though he doesn't have all good pills anymore. Mostly I like his eye patch.

Lazarus starting with -1 luck just seems backwards, he starts with a pill and thanks to that more than half the time it's gonna be shit.

Luck doesn't effect pills.
(In regards to "favorite character?" post on previous page) I have to say Judas. Even if I get a shitty first few floors, I can still hold my own relatively well.
Judas is great because you don't have to reroll until you get a good item room, damage is good enough that you don't need good luck the first couple floors
Otherwise you face the choice between spending your time rerolling until you get a good first item or spend double the time clearing rooms
Lazarus, Cain, Eve, Samson, and ??? are my top contenders.
They have differing play-styles but each one is fluid enough to use most any active item and will generally work well with any passive they come across.
The D6 is so powerful that it changes the way you play from blank-slate Isaac to grind-out-rerolls Isaac. I really wish the D6 were a much later game unlock than it is. It was originally for defeating It Lives with ??? because that was the original endgame with the original hardmode character. It was a reward for doing everything the game had to offer, so go break the hell out of it now.
Maggie is an interesting one, her stats are fine. But the entire schtick is regen -- which you can exchange on the first item room of the game. Defeating most of the reason to pick the character in the first place. Lategame Maggie play is usually indistinguishable from other characters. It's not necessarily bad, it's just kinda underwhelming.
Judas is in a similar boat as Isaac. His item is so fucking good that you're going to be passing up almost every other one. But at least his style is more fun than grinding out rerolls as Isaac.
Azazel is so fucking easy and his unique tears force you into that style of play no matter what pickups you get. It's the same reason I loathed the Community Remix's iteration of Samson, all it wound up doing was making a good chunk of items worthless for him, which limits the amount of fun you can have on a run if you just happen to get some crazy combos that simply don't synergize with the base tear effect.
Laz, Cain, Eve, Sam, and ??? are all the blankest of slates and that's what I find most appealing about them. I get to roll with the punches.
