I was thinking, if having black strokes around everything will make enemy bullets stand out more I'm going to play with them on, otherwise I'm going new style

You know, the point where people have 100% the game and are resorting to breaking the game for entertainment. Essentially spidermod as a reward for clearing the game. These things being built into the game will drag out the game's lifespan when players begin interacting with each other cooperatively and competitively. 500+ items will keep the "fun" aspect of the game going for quite a while before people get to the point where they are pitting their 100% files against one another. And even then, people will find stipulations to keep the game interesting. Mechanics will always trump visuals. The filter option is just what'll push people on-edge over the threshold when the game first comes out.

Both coop and pvp. 2 Players, 1 random room, each of them chooses 5 passive items, 1 active item, 1 pill\tarot and 1 trinket. Then they fight to death. (I know it's never gonna happen, and it would be a horrible idea because it has nothing to do with the game, but lemme dream)

I am kinda bummed there is no Online Coop. Both my brother and I preordered, and I already know we'll fight to decide who plays as the baby on whose pc all the time :v:

D6 is a 6 room recharge instead of 3 now. If you want to abuse the habit for D6 farming, you'll need to take 3 hearts of damage to get another charge as the Habit only recharges 1 tick per hit. Min-maxing the D6 won't necessarily get harder, as there are certainly going to be ways to still abuse it with items like Scapular, but it'll take twice as long normally and 3 times longer with the habit compared to the flash counterpart. Not to mention just how rare it'd be to get that broken combo now that there are over twice as many items to sift through before you get to the broken stuff.

[i]We get that you don't like the game's aesthetics, you can stop now.[/i] Aesthetically, I'd prefer less of the details and a bigger focus on the broader things such as enemies and obstacles. That's something the flash version did very well, as the comparatively-low amount of detailing gave the player a more-crisp visual on what is and isn't important to the gameplay. Rebirth will feature options that will disable the detail things that some players may deem distracting from the experience. Thematically, both the drawn and pixel style are fitting for a game that is the metaphorical retreat into Isaac's mind as he is coping with the fact that he's about to die: the handdrawn fits how a child would illustrate such an experience, and the pixels fit how a child that loves games may imagine such an experience. Just tinker with the visual options until you find something that will make you happy. It's really not that big of a deal to be raising a stink at every opportunity.

Seems a weird way to do it instead of just a cheat menu, unless I'm missing something and you can use a cheat seed and a run seed as well?

A cheat menu would still be superior though, as you can't expect people to remember 50+ of these cheat strings on top of the numerous amount of content in the game already. Even if he did appear, neither of those characters have the same dead-eyes that ??? has. People have speculated that the wrapped-up character is named Lazarus. Of course there's no actual basis to assume that the character would be Lazarus in the first place, but people are rolling with it so whatever. Of the new characters, we do know that one of them will be revolving around Black Hearts, either having an item that functions around them like Maggie or being wholly alive through them like ??? remains to be unknown. He got an item called Monstro's Lung which made Isaac attack like Monstro does.
I think the filter looks pretty nice actually. I still like the vector graphics best but it's a nice compromise.
Huuuuuurg I wish I was decent at this game, I never went farther than the last boss of the first "world". And I didn't beat him.
I really hope ed takes this experience of rebirth and works with larger teams in the future. I feel like team meat games are going to get more ambitious and take much longer work time. I mean mewgenics beings on hold is probably a result of the massive scale of the game. I could be wrong but I don't see why he couldn't be a lead dev and still get the same game he wants to create.
Finally got some money! first thing i did was to preorder it. Now i just have to wait...
I started playing isaac again and got spidermod, but using the controller my character just sprints into the middle when I enter a room, and I can't move him or attack, assume this isn't normal (but doesn't seem to be my controller because it's fine for other games), any help? also randomly activates my spacebar item when I go into a boss room.
Also from Tyrone's stream yesterday, he showed off some menus as well as the item. [url=https://imgur.com/a/82qKr]Album[/url] Visual and audio modifiers like we've seen before. 10 characters on the select screen, we can clearly see Isaac, Cain, Maggie, Judas, Samson, and Eve. The two unknown characters, and what I presume is ??? locked in the chest. Pretty sure the ? is just the random select. Visuals of Monstro's Lung on a pedestal. Tyrone being a tease and suiciding before we get to see more. Shows off the game over screen again. Starts a new run and shows us the pause menu before selecting "exit". It has a dedicated field to show your current item haul. Also "map" and "drop items" binds can be set to different inputs. Hopefully he puts a VOD up so we don't have to rely on screenshots but otherwise this is all we got.
Well, that filter kills my complaint I think. It's not perfect but it's enough. Roll on November!
