Question, if I was to get Playstation Plus for say, a month on the day Rebirth comes out, would I still get it for free? Or does the offer only count towards members who are already a part of Plus when the deal happens?

You'd get it for free; but you can only play it as long as you have Playstation Plus. Therefore, if you just want Isaac; buy it. But Playstation Plus is a really good deal if you can afford it.

As an aside, how are you guys going to treat the thread once the release is out? Personally I'm going to avoid distilling things down to a science like I have been doing to just enjoy the game as a game; the game will be out at that point, you can figure the new items out for yourselves. If I find secrets, find hidden mechanics with some items, or maybe some rogue Easter eggs I'll try to keep those tagged as spoilers. I'll also drop by when I get item synergies that are hilariously bad or ridiculously powerful. I will also stop by if I find a returning item that functions differently, as that's useful information to share. But for the most part I think the thread will be more quiet in terms of my interaction. Or maybe it'll explode, we'll see on Tuesday.

Just pre-ordered, pretty stoked to play it since I'm free all day Tuesday and Wednesday. I'll be keeping up here as I play, but I'm going to try to make it rather far in the game before clicking spoilers just in case.

I can't resist clicking black bars; so I'm going to have to abandon this thread until I've played a ton of the game.

Did one final run of Isaac with the community remix mod on insane mode, using Adam. Almost managed to beat Blue baby, basically was a tiny bar away from it. That was of course after beating both Isaac and Satan in the same run. I'm ready for Rebirth.
