How do you get past the womb? I know you can use the Joker or the shovel, but those rarely drop.

Just beat [sp]Mom's heart[/sp] on my first try. A devil's room appeared and there's a trap door in it. What do? Go to chest or trap door? It's my most successful run so far, i don't want to screw it up.

Are the challenges in an order? Some aim towards Mom, others towards Mom's Heart. I manage to do Solar System in my first try, got probably the most helpful item for that run, the blue boomerang. EDIT: The moment you beat Mom's Heart, whatever's in the chest gets unlocked. Don't know about the cutscene thou.
