Question regarding gyrocopters: can your coop partner grapple to them? I recall hearing something about it, but haven't seen it in action.

As much as I've tired of the cliché "Add a zombie mode!"
A Zombie DLC for this game would be amazing, if done right like Undead Nightmare for Red Dead Redemption.
Imagine securing safehouses, using vertical mobility to evade hordes or seeing a mass of shambling corpses from an elevated position in the mountains.
That, and zombie elephants and rhino's.
Was just driving around and found this truck in this position.

A bit after this i was using the wing suit to fly off a mountain and i somehow ended up doing 20 front flips then face planting into the ground which kills me.
Ok, its kinda starting to seem like they're using the [sp]"You've been drugged!"[/sp] plot device a bit too heavily.

I don't have that great of a rig (770 here), but I've noticed that a lot of settings don't see to make much of a difference performance-wise. Things like different AO, for example. Post-processing does make a huge difference, though, I guess it's that fancy depth of field

Anyone else using the PKM or any other machine gun? I'm playing on hard and still tearing shit up with it. I can kill rhinos and bears with no trouble at all.
LMGs have always been strong weapons in the far cry series. I always had one on me during my playthroughs of 2 + 3 but I have barely used them so far in FC4 since I have been using the STG-90 as my main gun. I need to start using them more.

The hell are you talking about? I've used the helicopter numerous times and been able to keep using it for a pretty long time and had no problems controlling it or anything, I could even easily land it inside of a radio tower and then easily take off afterwards.
So, just played the hunt for the rare honey badger.
And oh, my god, they set it up perfectly. [sp]When you first select the quest, you've got to select it four times. You're asked stuff like "Are you sure?" "Are you really sure?" "Are you insane?" "Any last words?"
You go to the location to gear up, not knowing what weapon you're using, and find a scene of carnage. There's a car on fire, its driver dead, and a crate on the ground next to it. You realize with dawning horror that they expect you to hunt this rare honey badger with a fucking LMG. As you enter the area in which it roams, death and desolation are everywhere. Unnumbered corpses, dead wolves, leopards, even a goddamn rhino, and several small fires burn around the area. Pretty sure I saw a fallen tree. When you finally find the thing, it has a special attack that can one-hit you. It soaks up a LOT of damage and still keeps coming. That was terrifying. [/sp]
All in all I'd say Far Cry 4 is a really solid game but lacks innovation. It would have been awesome if you could actually choose whose side you're on, and had moral dilemmas and ideological disputes going on.
It's basically a slightly better far cry 3 with a different setting.

How does this behavior make the game any more interesting? Firing rounds through animals' legs, wings, EYES and they still just beeline you at maximum speed, at any distance to claw at you or lock you into a QTE.
It's stupid, lazy, and plainly artificial design that adds nothing to the game other than the [I]hilarious[/I] jokes about a honey badger not giving a fuck xDD like it's 2001.

I'm actually okay with that.
I loved FC3, so a very similar game with minor improvements under the hood is actually just what I wanted. FC4 added just enough changes to make it feel like a good refresh.
That said, it'd be nice if they changed the formula a little more.
However, there are a few changes that are pretty bad steps backwards;
- Less weapon customization in favor of pre-assembled "uniques".
- Strange weapon balance/behavior compared to FC3; pistol bullets disappear at 60m, game-logic style progression of weapons, instead of more realistic damage models like in FC3.
- Strange mouse movement.
- Bad performance dips, stuttering and screen-flashes.
Those last two will probably get patched / fixed at the driver level, but the first two are purely game-design issues that will be left to modders to fix. Admittedly, they are also more of a personal preference than an actual issue.

If your chopper spins out of control and beeps, congrats, you most likely pirated the game. That was a bug they fixed in patch 1.01 2 weeks ago

On the subject of rotary-winged aircraft, I'll admit I'm very disappointed. It'd have been SO much cooler if they handled realistically. I guess Ubisoft didn't think that semi-realistic helicopter controls would be accessible to most people. Oh, well.

Yup, that's one of several things they left unpatched intentionally to weed out people who pirated, just like FOV.

Patch 1.01 was completed 2 week ago, but yes it was only distributed on Tuesday.
