You can it is -(minus) on the keyboard to turn the radio off, you do have to do it every time you get in a vehicle however.
Oh my god thank you. Was getting so sick of that little shit on the radio. Keeps saying the same damn things over and over. Why didn't they just have music like fc3?
Question: When you liberate an outpost, does enemy activity in that area stop entirely? Because I always thought that was dumb in FC3.
Question: When you liberate an outpost, does enemy activity in that area stop entirely? Because I always thought that was dumb in FC3.
No, the Royal Army will still be around in the areas around liberated outposts. There has been a number of times I have exited the outpost's safe house only to have an army truck come through and start shooting straight away or to have a skirmish karma event happening nearby.
Uh, question. Something's hella wrong with my shadows, and anything that isn't directly in the light of the sun are pitch-black. It gets to an extent where even characters are totally blacked by the shade. What the hell? [t]http://puu.sh/d4mBl/eb1f9c1d06.jpg[/t]
What version you running? :v:
Question: When you liberate an outpost, does enemy activity in that area stop entirely?
Question: When you liberate an outpost, does enemy activity in that area stop entirely? Because I always thought that was dumb in FC3.
Even after capturing every outpost and fortress in the game, you'll frequently run into enemy patrols, and they still drive by on roads now and then. However; you likely won't find any more of the royal supply trucks.

[t]http://puu.sh/d4mBl/eb1f9c1d06.jpg[/t]
The only way to fix this at the moment is to change the ambient occlusion to SSAO and turn the shadows down to medium. Somone on /r/farcry said the leaked torrent version does this, whereas the legit steam version doesn't.

new update ruined my game, graphics set to ultra but look like shit and game fucking crashes randomly. wtf.
Okay im probably really late with this post final mission spoiler but: [sp] If you go to Tirtha you get a cinematic and the option to kill who you sided with(might be non-canon kill though.) I sided with amita and she was evil at Tirtha so I domed her with a crossbow. Might be different place if you sided with Sabal.[/sp]
Is it just me or does the FOV slider not actually do anything?
Try wingsuiting off of something. That always un-fucks the FOV for me after I liberate a tower.
don't get me wrong I enjoy this game greatly but fuck hunting bharal I don't want sambar skin I want goddamn bharal skin
I wish I had someone to play this with coop. :suicide:
Is it worth getting for 37 dollars? EDIT: Turns out I can only get it for 45$, damn. Is it still worth buying though?
Just finished the game. My Thoughts: The Good: -Far Cry 3 again, but with more stuff. -Setting was imaginative and Kyrat actually felt like there were living, breathing people existing in it. -Worldbuilding was done nicely. -Auto drive was kinda nice. -Gunplay was decent, as before. -More missions and the karma system was an interesting spin on things. -Twist at the end was executed rather well, IMO. -Pagan Min was a fantastic character. The Bad: -Unfortunately, the two rebel leaders weren't as well written. -Neither was Ajay, for that matter. I mean, Jason Brody could be really insensitive and whiny at times, but at least he had some character development from 'standard American man' into 'psychotic Far Cry murderer'. -Kicking was rather useless. I remember it being rather hyped in the trailers for some reason... -Skill tree wasn't as good as Far Cry 3's. -Endgame could get grindy at times. -Shangri-La wasn't that amazing for me, probably because you had limited health bars, slow health recovery and around two weapons. The Ugly -Fuck gliding between the Himalayas Mountains. I mean, seriously. In summary, I liked Far Cry 4. It was basically an upgraded version of Far Cry 3, with more missions and animals, but it was still good. Don't recommend getting it at full price, though. Not until they've fixed some of the port issues.
Are there no dual takedowns in this one? I didn't see any dual takedown or dual takedown from above anywhere in the skill tree.
I keep seeing people saying they're running the game on almost ultra @ 60fps with 660s or lower, yet benchmarks show that a 980 can barely stays above 60 fps on those settings. I'd like to know what secret cheat code these people are using to get the game to be playable.
Somone on /r/farcry said the leaked torrent version does this, whereas the legit steam version doesn't.
Which is bull-fucking-shit since i have the retail version and i'm running into the same issue. Worse than his screenshot because SLI seems to fuck things even more.
God damn it, I hate it when I knife a dude and then pull out his pistol to kill 5 enemies in front of me but my dude just decides to instead empty the mag into a heavy that is like 30 meters off to the left.
Are there no dual takedowns in this one? I didn't see any dual takedown or dual takedown from above anywhere in the skill tree.
Nope. Don't know why, but they're gone.
Run it at a lower resolution, I have a single GTX 660ti superclocked.
I'd get much better framerate and a much better looking game by turning AA, AO and godrays off than I would from lowering the resolution. doesn't really matter at this point though since the game stutters about 4000 times per second.
Which is bull-fucking-shit since i have the retail version and i'm running into the same issue. Worse than his screenshot because SLI seems to fuck things even more.
Yeah I got a voucher when I bought my 980's I can't play this when it's at night. The shadows are fucked
I have a 660 and the trick is to turn AA and AO lower/off, its not too noticeable and worth the trade
yeah but that's not ultra. people are actually claiming to have the game maxed out on gpus that can't possibly do it. obviously that'll always happen with some games but in this case I've seen like over 20 people claim that they have the game maxed on a 570 or 660 or otherwise mid range card at a steady 60 fps.
So is this game any good on PS4? I'm thinking about picking it up after work today. Also, can you still fight enemies after you've captured all the bases? That was my biggest issue with FC3.

So I seemed to have activated some sort of god mode.. Enemy AI got stuck in a cutscene, and I could stand in front of a heavy, without taking any damage. Even his knockbacks did nothing. Also Willis can land a plane ANYWHERE. Also the quests when you're on acid, oh my fuck. They have the best music. It's too bad they didn't do something awesome to combine it with, even something small. Imagine if the acid quests went to flash backs or something of Blood Dragon? That'd be wicked.
