Anybody else getting a seemingly frozen "Preparing to Launch Far Cry 4" Bar? On my list of games it just says queued.

Check the downloads tab, should say "unpacking" or "allocating", means it's working.

Yeah, it just takes half a goddamned eternity.

When I start my game (PC) it just shows the Far Cry 4 logo then goes to a black screen. The only advice I've found elsewhere (which sounds like bullshit to be honest) says I have to unplug all USB devices to make it run, how the hell am I supposed to start the game if my mouse and keyboard aren't connected? Anyone else have this problem?

Oh jeez that negative mouse acceleration actually is pretty annoying. They need to support raw mouse input or at least copy the mouse movement of far cry 3, it was fine in that game.

That's it guys. It's done. My illusion of good PCitude is utterly gone. It had a good run, but it seems I've finally hit that threshold where what used to be my top of the line computer, now cannot even RUN the newest games. I bought it because my old computer couldn't run crysis, now I can't run farcry 4. I guess I better exit the cave and look for this thing called money people keep talking about.

I think thus far probably the most fun I've had was finding a gun emplacement by a road, and a moment later an eagle swooping down at a group of rebels. I just unloaded in to that bird and blew it out of the sky. It was seriously a lot of fun for some reason. Also, I couldn't be fucked to wait to find someone who had the Compound Bow to get it for free, so I just bought the damn thing. No regrets on that front.

Release Patch pulled down the performance a lot for me. Also stutters a lot and sound then goes offsync. Horrible. The FoV slider is a joke too, it ranges from 50-60 or something.

Being able to use the grenade launcher as a side arm is op but so much fun. The whole game is so much fun actually. It has everyting that far cry 3 had plus more like helicopters and a grappling hook. There are some really nice user friendly additions too like the auto drive and the ability to replay outposts. Everyting is designed for you to have has much fun as possible all the time.

Is it just me or is this game MAD stuttery. Like, even locking vsync on at 60 it feels shit sometimes, the mouse feels like an elephants sittin on it, i get these stutters every now and then, feels really really horrible.

I noticed how they claimed they use next gen fur in FC4 which is not even true, they basically automated the process of making parallax by applying it instead of modelling separate layers on top of each other, Shadow of Colossus on PS2 used that but they had to model it, so in a sense it's nothing new, I even noticed some brick walls using that and it gives them volume.
