Lex is OK. With no mods its slow and as it was said in other thread, might as well be a Sniper Rifle. With a 60% ROF mod, it fires about as fast as a stock Lato.
Sicarus is currently my favorite weapon, period. Maxed out, with a catalyst slapped on and attack power, ROF and a 100% multishot mod on and it wrecks shit.
Haven't used a Kraken myself, but its supposed to be a mid way between the Lex and Sicarus: a slower, 2 round burst with decent stopping power.

Oh well, I'm tempted by the Scindo or Fragor (my dual Ether is at level 30) but I'm afrai they might be too slow for my liking, although I like how they slash and smash the enemy.

I'll give it a try, I'm sure it will go hand in hand with Rhino and Iron Skin in particular, although I still need something like 800/1000 Rubedo (I have ~220) to make the Rhino helmet and the Scindo, damn you Rubedo!

The kraken is pretty powerful, but you need to judge how much it pulls up between the shots, when you get used to it you can have the first shot hit the chest and the second be a headshot even at some pretty long ranges. Also, fire speed mods make the grouping better.

Or aim down as you're shooting and you can easily score two headshots

I personally love the Lex. The slow reload kinda kills it for me though. The slow ROF is not as bad as you'd think.

On the boss that drops Ember pieces, we got stuck on the same level for over an hour, as the beacon on the mini-map started to, for lack of a better term, [I]freak the fuck out[/I] and started pointing us into random directions, huge parts of the map that go nowhere.

It's the Scindo in the video, just with the Dagger Axe skin. Which looks silly, but that's also the reason I'm using it.

I actually saw the video when you first posted it, you have convinced me, the Scindo is being forged right now.
I actually like that skin by the way, it makes it look less heavy and it fits more with the whole space ninja theme.

I'm thinking Fang could be a decent melee choice as well, since the materials are all easy to find; it'll cost more than the Cronus between buying the print and crafting it though.
Or Furax which you can just buy flat-out.
Now that I've got my first Warframe blueprint, the game has started to go "Well, he can have the same thing." I've dropped the chassis like five times now. This is some crazy shit.
