Killing Vor (first boss) is a good way for new players to get morphics. Parts dont drop at all, you gotta build them. Their respective blueprints drop from certain bosses (check the wiki for which boss drops which warframe bps).

Each boss, except for Vor, have a set of parts they drop. The jackal drops the parts for Rhino, for example.
So I heard that Nyx has been nerf to uselessness. Could anyone explain to me how? It's one of my two warframes, since I mistakenly never bothered to make anything else but weapons.
Well, chaos was given a cooldown, and that was really the only thing going for her. Psychic Bolts are worse than useless, as they actively make your damage output worse, considering any weapon can do more damage in the brief cast time than it will do. Mind Control is eh, and the ultimate doesn't even remotely compare to other ulti's.
Nyx is still OP. With continuity, stretch, energy siphon, streamline, flow, and a Shade equipped you can win every level by pressing 3 and standing there. Mind controlling ancient healers during infested defense is lovely as well for taking care of toxic wounds.
Yes, because she has one ability that works makes her op. That's pretty much DE logic there.
Yes, because she has one ability that works makes her op. That's pretty much DE logic there.
I think winning a skirmish with a group of high level enemies without my hands on the keyboard or mouse is the very definition of OP. Am I wrong?
I think winning a skirmish with a group of high level enemies without my hands on the keyboard or mouse is the very definition of OP. Am I wrong?
I think his point was that Nyx has precisely one useful power, and rather than balancing out her powerset as a whole, they just nerf the one useful thing into the ground.
Have they fixed nyx's death bloom on mind control yet?
I think winning a skirmish with a group of high level enemies without my hands on the keyboard or mouse is the very definition of OP. Am I wrong?
Yes. Though it should cost a lot more energy (like 150), and not have a timer [editline]4th June 2013[/editline] Also they should give psychic bolts a secondary effect, like the enemies hit by it should become aggro'd towards each other.
General Vor(mercury boss) or Nef Anyo(mars boss) drop morphics at a decent rate.
Why does nobody know that Valefore on Europa gives you a massive shitton of morphics? I have several hundreds of the stuff right now and can easily get even more. Gallium, control modules, orokin cells and neural sensors on the other hand... I hate how we have these "super-rare" resources. It's a lot more satisfying seeing a boss spew out masses of resources or mods, than just going "oh, good, that one piece I farmed this thing several times for". When a closet in this game spews out an ocean of credits, I'll still pick them up even if they are nickels, because there are a huge mass of them. Satisfying the player with things with huge quantities is basic game design, Diablo (and Diablo-like) games does it very well, making all the bosses spew out huge amounts of stuff, even if it's all useless.

I've seen several high-level players who are farming alloys suddenly stop and ask "where is a good place to farm morphics?".
I've seen several high-level players who are farming alloys suddenly stop and ask "where is a good place to farm morphics?".
Well then you have all the rights to call them stupid, you have my permission. I am personally swimming in around 200 morphics, but I'm having a hard time stocking up Neurodes/Neural Sensors/Orokin Cells/Control Modules
Valefor hasn't given me a single morphic in the umpteenth times i've tried farming it. It's total baloney in my opinion.
Neural sensors appear to be somewhat common, control modules also appear to sometimes pop up places when the planets are aligned right. I wish you could get neural sensors, gallium and control modules from more places, making some resources boss-specific is ridiculous.
Europa in general gives me a metric assload of rubedo though. Dunno about morphics.
Valefor hasn't given me a single morphic in the umpteenth times i've tried farming it. It's total baloney in my opinion.
I've been farming Everest (earth boss) for around an hour now, and only gotten one neurode. Shit sucks man
Valefor hasn't given me a single morphic in the umpteenth times i've tried farming it. It's total baloney in my opinion.
How are my pockets all full to the rim after U7, then?

Bosses just have a better chance of dropping these rare resources. You can find them normally, but farming a boss is usually the fastest method. I need Neurodes but fuck, those are so annoying to farm. Fucking Hek.
I've been farming Everest (earth boss) for around an hour now, and only gotten one neurode. Shit sucks man
The phorid is a bit more generous and doesn't have bullshit shields. Edit: I get ninja'd so many times now that it looks like I post way too much in this thread.
How are my pockets all full to the rim after U7, then?
Because you're a lucky son of a tenno and I hope you get nothing but latron prime BPs from all your void runs?
so, the "OH NOO NOOOOOO NOOOOO NOOOOOOOOOOOO AAAAAAAAAghrhls~" the capture targets shriek when you absorb them - where did that actually come from? is it one of the devs? a stock sound? did they hire a VA just to do his best "i saw the deviantart appreciation station" impression?

I like how it almost cuts off, and then adds a bit more horror to it. "UUUAAAAAAA-AAAAEEEHEHAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRrrrrggghh... ... hhuuwaaaghhghh."
