Literally nobody says forma guns give you mastery rank. (Makes sense since you're not getting more mastery of more weapons, just re-learning the same one)
The wiki is incomplete and wrong a lot and I don't browse this thread much, nor would i watch the videos.
I want a 100% source is all. Because I've been told otherwise. And formas are a big enough investment for me to figure it out.

Forma's are just for polarising/repolarising a slot. In the end, they do give more points to spend, but only if you slot according mod into one, as they cut value into half + 0.5.

You misread my post. Tenno points are sets of 100 points you get for ranking up an item that contribute to your account rank. When you forma, your weapon is reset to one, and you can rank it up again, thus gain more tenno points.
Perhaps all you you are mistaking tenno points for mods slots for some reason?

I think that DE meant for formas to let you re-master but programming bug won't let it work.
I'm pretty sure I've seen a post by DE stating clearly that using a forma to rank up a weapon from zero to thirty will not give Mastery points, nor was this ever the intention. It's for re-polarizing only.

I can guarantee that putting Forma on a weapon doesn't give you mastery points when you level it up and that it's working as intended.

Just keep in mind the wiki is very wrong in places.

I'm pretty sure they mentioned it a few times in the live streams, should be in number 5, that you don't get any more master points.
I mean the fact alone that everybody and their moms are pretty much unanimous about it and the only people that say the opposite are usually people asking for confirmation should be a dead give away.

Calm down. Someone else wanted a link too. Everything that was provided with word of mouth with no link until some linked the wiki. Not trusting the wiki is a reasonable thing.
