Because you need mastery points to get awesome clan tech? [editline]7th June 2013[/editline] Heaven forbid I don't trust the word of the facepunch community. All I asked for was a source, and drama ensued. May as well just give me the death penalty for the terrible sin I have committed.
Well to be honest it's not just us, it's on the official forums and pretty much anywhere else too. There's nothing wrong with what you did but if you ask a question and you can't accept the next best thing from what you asked (mass confirmation vs official confirmation) be prepared to have some people get mad at you, it's like asking for advice and doing the complete opposite, you are bound to piss somebody off.
A reliable source? A non-official wiki can't always be trusted, as a lot of times there's a bunch of bullshit on there. And some people care about their mastery ranks, and if leveling their favorite weapon several times gives them mastery points then it's a great way of getting it done. [editline]7th June 2013[/editline] I never heard anything of this besides from the Wiki, and I'm not really trusting that as it has been wrong several times before.

So I don't browse the forum unless its to have some fun. Like here: https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/60004-the-most-accurate-warframe-tier-list-my-opinion-is-fact-and-your-opinion-is-wrong/ I get most my Info from Warbros.

I've wanted to polarize something for a while, what if I did a video of me polarizing a weapon/warframe and then leveling it up a couple of levels to show if the mastery rank increases or just stays the same?

I'll polarise my ash right now and see what happens [editline]7th June 2013[/editline] actually nevermind, my internet has gone to shit atm :v:
So even though I made plenty of tests before hand fraps decided to mess up on the final recording on something that cannot easily replicated... gee thanks... At least I took screenshots as a backup... I had everything at level 30, so nothing other than the polarized Ash could rank up and raise the mastery level. As you can see I choose to change the second V to a D, I run and completed a single mission (Tolstoj - Vor). No mastery rank increase. Ash before, you can see Marathon in red because it's a D card in the V slot [t]http://www.emanuelemonaco.com/images/warframe/before_ash.jpg[/t] Stats before [t]http://www.emanuelemonaco.com/images/warframe/before_stats.jpg[/t] Ash after, V changed to D, leveled up to level 2 [t]http://www.emanuelemonaco.com/images/warframe/after_ash.jpg[/t] Stats after, one mission completed [t]http://www.emanuelemonaco.com/images/warframe/after_stats.jpg[/t] A bit of a failure but hopefully it's still useful.
hardly a failure, I think that clarifies once and for all that polarized gear doesn't give you mastery points good job
This game pisses me off sometimes, do an alert. Get 4 Data terminals. Okay easy enough. Great now you gotta rescue this person. FINE! GREAT! Now just exterminate everything here, oh and don't forget to bring the datamass to extraction aswell as keep the hostage alive. Whilst we throw 4 Disruptors, 3 Toxic Ancients and a couple healers, along with a horde of leapers/runners and chargers at you 2 or 3 times every 3 rooms. Have fun. Get like 2 rooms from the end, got mobbed by what must have been EVERYTHING in the level. Numerous Disruptors and healers and Toxic's, along with a fuck ton of runners/leapers and Chargers. It was bullshit, lost all the resources and mods I picked up... [editline]7th June 2013[/editline] Along with all XP. What a giant fucking waste of time that was. :suicide:
I can't even find a blueprint for Frost. Maybe I should just buy it?
There are no hard missions, just frames that are hard to do the mission with.
Moral of the story: Use revive, AoE skills. And don't solo.
Why should I waste a revive, when the game pulls bullshit like that? And I was, but Disruptors stole all energy, Fragor seems to not hit Chargers if they are close, and noone I play with is Online.
I noticed this spot in the big room in the Grineer excavation site tile set can be grinded for affinity forever without fear of getting flanked from the side in infested missions. Also, if you don't shoot, they'll just jump down the hole right in front of them.
What, level were they? And don't get caught by disruptors. Were you just going Rambo? Fragor is pretty slow to deal with chargers.
28. Was running my 30 Excal, 30 Boltor, 30 Bronco, and 23 Fragor, Excal, Boltor being 'Tatoed, trying to kill the GIANT ass horde of chargers and leapers, whilst having Disruptors and shit that seem to be able to outsprint me, kind of makes that point moot. I wasn't Rambo. I was entering rooms slowly, as soon as one noticed me. I just got swarmed, I ate through 4 Rifle ammo boxes due to the SHEER amount of them. Regardless of the Ammo drops. I lost far too many mods and resources to even wanna bother playing for a few hours, It just angered me, and I instant Alt F4'd. This was an Alert misson by the way.
Random people? Or you couldn't find any?
I set it to online, none of my friends were online, and noone seemed to drop into the match. So I had no choice but to Solo it.
Come on fp and see a hundred new posts. Hey, something good must've happened! nope.xls, drama
I would have, but the Usain Bolt style disruptors kept stealing my energy, leaving me with barely any. :v: And On boltor. Fire Damage, Electric Damage, Mag Cap, Ammo Cap, Stun, and a couple others I forget. On Excal. Beefed up Ability's. Vitality, Redirection or whatever shield cap is called, Sprinting speed, immunity to fire/Electric and one more which I also can't remember.
There are no hard missions, just frames that are hard to do the mission with.
Datapass missions against high level corpus can be a bitch solo. "Oh I'll just hack this thing and be on my way" Suddenly 4 shockwave MOA's and your shields and health evaporate while you are on the ground for 5 seconds.
Electric immunity? What even uses electricity in this game?
Electric immunity? What even uses electricity in this game?
enemies holding the glorious prova
Enemies holding the glorious prova.
Don't underestimate the prova, it's mass produced among both the grineer and corpus. Even the moas use them, on their head.
do the Corrupted Lancers actually use the Dera, or just the Dera's model and effects?
On Excal. Beefed up Ability's. Vitality, Redirection or whatever shield cap is called, Sprinting speed, immunity to fire/Electric and one more which I also can't remember.
I can tell you right now that the electric/fire resistance mods are worthless. 12% max resistance is nothing and can be replaced by something useful. Only one mob in the game causes fire damage, Grineer Scorcher, and melee Grineer (sometimes) and Corpus deal electric, but since they're so easy to deal with, its a waste of a slot to worry about electric damage. Isn't there also an ice resist mod? What creature, besides one Grineer boss that does it occasionally, uses ice? If anything its only useful in PvP, and 12% resistance is absolutely nothing.
I can tie all of the weapons in the game to a faction that made them, yet there's a few oddballs Boar and strun - Has corpus colours, but not shape, and it uses bullets. could be tenno/lotus? Sicarus - Looks tenno, yet it's used by Shield lancers. Burston - Grineer colourscheme, but doesn't have the grineer semi-organic shape. Braton(s) - Corpus colours AND shape, even has corpus characters on the side, yet it uses bullets. Lex - Corpus shape and colours, yet it uses bullets.
Oh god, latron with a maxed fire rate mod. Nearly a full auto sniper rifle!
Braton(s) - Corpus colours AND shape, even has corpus characters on the side, yet it uses bullets.
From what I heard, all enemies used Braton from the beginning before getting their own themed gear. Dunno about these Corpus language characters on the Braton though.
The Braton (and by extension lex) could probably be explained away as the only two bullet weapons the corpus make due to whatever disadvantages energy has.
Just noticed that you can buy Plat with Steam cash. Neat.
It doesn't have the pseudo-organic look most grineer weapons have, though. Mind you, there's the rocket launchers, the viper and their melee weapons, but they look chunky and rustic enough. The burston doesn't. It looks like a slimmer space G11.
