Great, yet another vauban systems alert around 1 hour after my brain started performing maintenance. Weapon blueprints dropped by alerts is bad enough, but specific parts that you need 3 different ones of and are otherwise obsolete is just ridiculous.
Missed Glaive and both Vauban chassis alerts. This system is total bullshit.

So are alerts completely random or is there at least a set number of them per day?
So are alerts completely random or is there at least a set number of them per day?
They're predefined by the RNG, so I guess both?
So are alerts completely random or is there at least a set number of them per day?
I doubt it, because there's been no glaive alerts since god-knows-when, I think the alert where I got mine was the last I can remember.
Yeah, which is shit, as Vanuban has been completed a whole once since his release.
Thunderbolt is fucking awesome

I got the master thief mod from wave 15 from a defense mission on Venus today. Too bad I mostly don't need it. What I did get, however, was enough alloy plates to finally build despair, which have been sitting in my foundry for a while now.

It's faster than getting to 15 on Venus.
I'm rolling in keys now since I've been doing a lot of defense missions on pluto
The mission was extremely easy and my team was competent, waves went by quite quickly and I don't want another trick mag and fast deflection mod. I think the reddit table showed different tiers for wave 5/10/15, which supports a theory I had when U7 was released: Rewards in defense missions have a higher chance of dropping rare stuff, this ends at wave 15, so anything after that will have the same rarity. According to the reddit table, it looks like they're evened out with what level the mission is, so a level 30 mission is the equivalent of wave 15 on a level 1 mission (don't quote me on this, I didn't understand too much from the reddit table).

The reward from wave 5 in Pluto comes from the same pool of the reward from wave 15+ in, say, Venus. And yes, from wave 15 on the rewards comes always from the same pool. However, I heard on a livestream that they'll make different pools for higher waves, as a little extra for the people who like to push way further than 15.
Well shit, my login reward coutner got reset back to 3 days for some reason Also, I still need the banshee helmet, should I try defense missions or raid?
Well shit, my login reward coutner got reset back to 3 days for some reason Also, I still need the banshee helmet, should I try defense missions or raid?
I need that god damn helmet too, so frustrating
The banshee helmet was a wave 5 reward once on Pluto. I opted out of it and we went to wave 15 to get some keys
I need that god damn helmet too, so frustrating
We could do some high level defense missions together
I did hours of Pluto for the Banshee helm, then got it on Venus. As far as I know, it's just down to luck, not level.
I'd recommend rushing raid missions. You can get up to 5000 credits every minute and lots of banshee part blueprints come by.
I'd recommend rushing raid missions. I'm currently farming M prime for ferrite, but doubt I will get a drop from it [editline]11th June 2013[/editline] Anyone wants to farm corpus defense mission for master thief? a frost would be nice :v:
Okay so just played a mobile defense game as Vauban and ending up getting 104 kills at the end. Leaving Tesla's where the enemies enter the room is just plain OP. They walk to the door, get zapped by one Tesla and either their shields are down or they're almost dead and then the second Tesla finished them off. I was putting 3-4 of the things near the doors the enemies came through and I was getting kills left and right while not even doing anything. Vauban doesn't even need Vortex to shine, it's just kind of an added bonus. Plus that Bastille and Tesla combo is glorious as well. Big group of enemies? Pop Bastille and throw a Tesla or two in there and just walk away while all of your enemies get shocked to death.

Plus I've honestly seen Vortex as a way to just corral your enemies next to each other. Or to be a dick lay down two vortexes, 2 bounce pads, and a Bastille on your friends. Watch as the unlucky person sprinting runs in circles as they bounce left and right in a vortex of annoyance.
Vauban can not only annoy his teammates, He annoys people who do things other than play warframe :v: Seriously, can anyone else think of a better way? I'm for making less frequent, longer alerts that are also a lot harder and you can get tokens from them that can be exchanged for what would normally be alert items :v:
I wish vortex looked a bit more satisfying. I was expecting enemies flying into each other and getting killed by the momentum, not sliding on top of each other in a huge clutter where you can't hit that one enemy which is in the middle. I also did a void run with a vauban. At one point, I tried to jump-attack a few enemies, but found myself stuck in the air. Even when the jump attack was canceled, I was still stuck in mid-air, becoming target practice for level 80 enemies. When I finally got downed, I still didn't fall, but found myself sitting right on top of a vortex the vauban had used just as I was jump-attacking. Fortunately, I was saved by a mag on our team. Hopefully DE will fix players being affected by vortex, with so many dick-ish abilities, vauban is almost a worse troll-frame than the loki! Like getting to choose what you want after doing a boss, alert or void run. That would at least be better than getting 5 chassis, 3 helmets and no systems. Though, part of the randomness may be part of DE's business model. Why can't they just release purely cosmetic skins like all other F2P developers?
Soon... First Warframe I've actually farmed for and built. Feels good man.
I'm exploring the Dojo for the first time; dumped 18k Ferrite into the Supra research, so the 3 day timer is now underway. I'm going to need my max sprint and stamina mods to get around more easily next time.
