As it was essentially getting the blueprint but not building the weapon from what I gathered from his post. I assumed it would be the same as research the blueprint all over again.

Phew just finished a solo run on that Captain Vor. So crazy intense and I ended up running out of ammo near the end, but got the morphics! Now just to get some Polymer Bundles.

how does one find rare items in alert missions? I've visited a few and have earned standard drops only. also, how does one solo jackal without getting instagibbed by explosions?

And Jackal isnt too hard a boss to solo, basically listen for the sound of a cannon firing and youll know when he's shot out his explosives. They take a few seconds to blow up so it gives time to run.
