Anyone here got the Grakata up to 30? I got it up to level 17 with serration and piercing hit on it but it still feels kinda terrible to use.
Just wondering whether I should stick with it and it becomes decent or do I dump it and get another gun.

I know your pain. Luckily I finally got all my parts after about 20 runs, I think.
(At least 10 of those runs were done while my PC was being a piece of shit and crashing before I could finish the mission so obviously they don't actually count.)

They nearly doubled its base damage in yesterday's patch, it's not that bad anymore.
Unless you're talking about after the update, then I'd say ditch it and get a Boltor if you don't have that yet
So after running a few missions with the Viper I'm liking it. Trick Mag solved my one complaint with it, so I'm thinking of building the Twin Vipers. I've already got the mats, I just need to grind out 80,000 credits for bps and forge costs. [sp]Fuck, this is gonna suck hard.[/sp]
Besides Trick Mag are there any recommended mods?

Dual Viper/Viper are my favourite automatic pistols, and I really like automatic pistols.

Hornet Strike, Barrel Diffusion, Quick Draw, No Return, Pistol Gambit, Target Cracker.
Don't forget Heated Charge for rapid [I]fire[/I] geddit hehe

I hadn't tried it post patch. Now I have and it feels pretty good. You see a LOT of yellow numbers now.
Did they add vertical body cleaving? I swear I split a grineer sawblade with a vertical slice
I kinda wish they removed the elemental damage death animations for melee weapons
I have a fuckoff huge sword, I hit a guy with it, he just catches on fire and waves his arms around for a while

Grinding wasn't that terrible, took me a 2/3 days of light/medium grinding (not playing all day constantly) and I'm still too crap to go solo on the high level missions.
For mods I find that until you have them maxed out you could go either with max ammo mods (capacity and clip) or damage so you either have more bullets and have to use more or you have less and kill with less.
Here's what I've got so far. (made them a couple of days ago)

I have them paired with a level 29 Latron, level 20 Dual Ether swords and a level 30 Excalibur all with 'taters on, I quite like them although they could definitely do with more ammo and damage when playing on higher levels (well more like mid game stuff) becayse as of now it nearly 3/4 clip per kill for most Grineers.

I recently decided that getting the Excalibur wouldn't be such a bad idea, in hope of getting the glave soon. I'm never fighting "the newest entry to the corpus AI security arsenal" again after hearing lotus say that one line over and over again! Did the developers never think that adding only one line to say about a boss was ever going to be annoying?
I also got in an alert I hoped was for the glave, but ended up being for the dark sword and our mag got stuck in this pose during the entire elevator ride:

After seeing the mag having a few spine issues, we got into [I]another[/I] elevator in the room right after that. The second elevator showed up to be broken, meaning that the button still functioned while it was going and made it instantly change direction. So naturally, our spineless friend got the great idea of making the ride take way longer by spamming the shit out of that button. Once we saw an opening, we literally had to crawl through it in order to proceed to the next room.
Just had a really weird run of Kappa, after casting the Mag ultimate, all of the enemies folded into balls but stayed alive, I was unable to cast anything and sometimes when I went invisible my head would detach and fly upside down behind me, I was also invincible.
My head usually flies behind me when I am in a multiplayer game because of lag. It haven't bothered me, but I agree that it looks weird.

Not the most optimized loadout, and I spent practically no time cloaked, so there's that too.

Depends on the base chance of the gun. if you crit 2% of the time normally, that puts it up to 4.5%
You already have a low crit chance. That one just gets a + of 125%.
So, if it's 5%. And you put that 125% on it, you will only get a + of 6,25%. Which means it's increased to 11,25%.
