Everything in the game was buffed update nine, if you've missed.
Xini is still a cake walk with Vauban and/or Nova.

I've stopped farming Xini and moved over to Pluto and farm Narcissus if I recall it's name correct and the defense right next to it which I cannot remember the name of.

It's not so much that it's harder, it's just that it takes slightly longer, and I'm already so so sick of it.

Their HP wasn't increased as far as I know, just their damage, so you might just be imagining things.

It used to be below 50, so 40-49 or so, and now they are like 50+ on Xini. Something like that from what I remember.

Oh, I never noticed, defense just isn't hard anymore for me since all I ever roll is Vauban or Nova on Xini :v:
I'm thinking about getting either Nyx or Ember since Vauban systems will only go on alert again whenever the next blue moon is.
Which one should I go for and for what reason?

Ember, she's just plain better from my experience. I really think Nyx needs a buff or change or [i]something[/i].

Nyx because of her Chaos power. It will save your squads ass countless times
I love Nyx and totally recommend her. Great for solo-ing and essential for defense.
Thing is she's a bit of a one-trick-pony. Chaos is incredibly strong, and mind control is a useful power. But psychic bolts is worthless and absorb is very weak for a 4th power.
Absorb is actually quite good, if your teammates understand how it works. I managed to get rid of a lot of T3 defense enemies by using it inside a vauban's vortex.
Only problem I currently have is the bug with constitution.
And being ineffective on Infested and blockable by cover.
You activate it, it goes for 10 seconds or some shit, and before it goes off everyone's run behind cover and it hits nobody.

I have both Nyx and Mag, and never use them. They have [I]one[/I] thing good about them, and my Nova, Vauban and Banshee are infinitely more valuable to me, as they have a much wider variety of abilities that let them sorta slide in to any position.
I was only using banshee for boss battles, but now that I have supra, I don't know if that is necessary any more. She also gives some hilarious results in regular mobile defense missions.

Yeah I can understand that. It doesn't bother me a whole lot, but I can see why people wouldn't like it.
But while you may not like the one-trick-pony style, you really cannot deny Chaos' usefulness in Defense.
Huh. The only reason I was curious about Ember is that I have all her parts, like I do Trinity (as good as she is, I solo almost all the time because my ISP are about as good as a dead sloth, so she's out) and Nyx seemed interesting for soloing.
What about Sayrn? Having looked at her a bit she seems pretty interesting.

Miasma and Venom are godlike for high-level defense, and she's the perfect balance of speed and survivability.
