Yes. I couldn't join the event until it was at 99%, and by the time I finished a mission with Fusion MOAs, the event was over.

If the Excalibur Prime is anything to go by I would rather have this kink of thing than cosmetics simply because of the extra polarised slots.
Also by the way they worded it in that one forum post that was screen cap'ed earlier in this thread the Frost Prime was just sitting around gathering dust.
Steve just re-enabled the goal in case someone missed it.
