Hey everyone, (this Geoff for anyone unaware) Firstly thanks for all the feedback, I've been following it very closely. I totally appreciate the mixed feelings with these changes and admittedly think I may have gone about it wrong waiting too long to force changes on people's characters. So! Moving forward its probably best to make idles a customization choice in the arsenal. What we are thinking is each warframe will share a default idle (the old animation and the one Excalibur currently uses) then provide 2 custom stances for each warframe; a tall one and one that's more compressed maybe theming them as "noble" and "agile"....still trying to work that out. The idle anims help with the role playing aspect to these characters and providing more choice rather than pushing a personality onto them will serve much better. I'm *hoping* we can have this ready to roll out in the next week, should be able to.....and yes we will for sure take in the feedback and adjust the current idles in game also :) Thanks for the support
YESSSS
Finally I can make banshee stop looking like a fucking animal and trinity stand up like a fascist
and ash looking like a meerkat
Finally I can make banshee stop looking like a fucking animal and trinity stand up like a fascist
Trinity's animations aren't that bad.
I really like the volt one. Maybe it's just me but I feel the creepiness fits him.
So I was on an assassination mission, killing Jackel. I had a team with a Frost in it. We had it in a snow globe, it stomped and I was the only person pushed out of the snow globe. Immediately, it nuked the inside of the snow globe and downed everyone inside except me.

Ash's is pretty stupid, though. He just stands like a pole with his arms crossed until he does some Japanese thing. Edit: Nyx' animation is also pretty fancy, but it makes her seem more like loki. I wish we had custom walking animations based on the idles, it's so strange jumping or crouching as ash for then to stand right up with his hands crossed as if he pretends nothing happened.
They really want to support Roleplaying, but given how these levels are setup, it's kinda weird, there is no real slow down and chat areas other than the dojo, and no emotes.
Well, they also plan on adding choices to the main story (when that's implemented) which will allow you to come up with the personality of your own Tenno, I assume that's what they mean to support when they say RPing.
It's weird playing a game that's going to have like a storyish campaign, with memorable characters... before it actually has that.
I hope they don't fuck up with the story. I really like our ideas of the tenno thinking they're honorable warriors fighting an evil empire but they're really just amnesiac super soldiers being pimped out as mercenaries by their ancient enemy

I really like our ideas of the tenno thinking they're honorable warriors fighting an evil empire but they're really just amnesiac super soldiers being pimped out as mercenaries by their ancient enemy
it's interesting how, in the Victory part of the Lore section that got added after that Fomorian ship stuff was completed, the Corpus say that they just promised the Tenno a reward and they jumped at the chance to help because they're all completely homicidal. so it's pretty much you being manipulated through your natural MMO instincts of decapitating dudes for money, which is a pretty fucking cool twist for a game that literally doesn't have a plot to twist in the first place.
Also, has Lotus' picture when she contacts you gotten more distorted and unstable?
I just hope they don't explain everything, and instead let the community come up with ideas. I know they read people's theories, but I don't want any of them to be objectively right.
So Im missing only the Volt systems to be able to craft it, but I have been doing like 30 runs without luck. I read on a commentary of the wiki that if I craft both the helmet and the chassis and sell duplicates of those bp, the systems should drop from Golem Is that true?
No, it's all RNG. Drops appear to be bugged now. I met a guy who did raptor 23 times and only got chassis.
No, it's all RNG. Drops appear to be bugged now. I met a guy who did raptor 23 times and only got chassis.
Welcome to DE's RNG
I'm still averaging at least four reach mods for each mission, so I've got three of them maxed. The bo with maximum reach, frost damage, and charge time reduction is the funniest shit in the world. Get surrounded by enemies, *FWAP, FWAP, FWAP*, everyone rolls on the floor stunned and frozen while you walk along your merry way.
I haven't got anything but chassis since the update either, and I think a guy previously said that none of the bosses drop resources.
Are there any video compilations of the new animations yet?
Are there any video compilations of the new animations yet?
Not as I know, but you can see them all if you go in the dojo at a busy hour.

Should I potato my Grakata?
Should I potato my Grakata?
No, it's shit.
It'll probably rip shit with more multishot though, already maxed the crit chance :v:
It'll probably rip shit with more multishot though, already maxed the crit chance :v:
The grataka eats ammo. Increasing the crit chance will only make you have to put more bullets into enemies in order to kill them. This is why crit only works if it is not depending on a limited a ammunition system. I've personally tried the grataka and found it better just to stack damage mods rather than depending on crits.
I generally consider crits to be an afterthought. Buidliding for damage+elemental+multishot is much better.
Rate and crit builds work better for melee weapons, because they are not limited by ammo. Especially considering there are abilities to enhance crits for them (ash and loki's invisibility). I think DE should copy how MMORPGs and other RPGs do crits, in the way that they may be luck based, but can also be made in other ways like through stealth or by temporary activation, which support certain playstyles.
