Could i get an invite to the Clan? I'm PaulTheSimon on Warframe.
Miter is so far an extreme dissapointment.
Annoying fire-rate, where clicking fast makes you not shoot at all. Still has the shitty "bounce after hit" thing which Glaive also has, which removes the fun and usefulness from shooting a sawblade towards a bunch of goons storming you.
They should just add a piercing blade projectile weapon already
Yeah, I'm really glad I didn't buy it. I was pretty tempted at the start of the event.

Why not add all of them dammit!
Will they at least have proper animations? After they added some for existing weapons and the Gremlins came with them, I had thought they'd have them with all future weapons. Then along came the Hind.

Why not take the model for the sniper and replace snipe-a-ton's model with it.
Well we'd also need to rename it.
Why not add all of them dammit!
They will, the vote's on which to add first
Oh, I'd say get the AR first.
Why not take the model for the sniper and replace snipe-a-ton's model with it.
I'd rather stay with my perfectly fine looking snipetron with no random spikes all over the place, thank you.

how would you reload it though, you'd need a bunch of extra prehensile limbs or something
yet another reason why having four arms is superior to two
Oh, I'd say get the AR first.
We already have like 7 assault rifles. On the other hand, there's only 4 shotguns and 1 sniper available to new players.

We also have an automatic double-barreled shotgun and a revolver that can get way more ammo capacity than it should be able to contain.

I was about to complain about how we don't need a new sniper rifle when we have two god-tier ones already (except one is not available after that event).
You're right, the vulkar may be shit, yet it should still be in the game because it's the only sniper rifle a new player can get.

Latron is a tenno semi-automatic rifle with a "tron"-name. Braton also has a corpus design.
Yeah, what are they thinking with those outlandish designs, they don't look normal at all!
Well, okay, in comparison to a lot of the weapons, they're normal. Still have no idea what's going on with the magazine on the Assault Rifle.
Oh, yeah I can agree with the magazine, how are you suppose to see anything with that thing blocking the way.
If the gun is used more like a spray and pray machine gun than a battle rifle, it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

That thing has the ironsights slightly to the left so it works fine and you're meant to use them.

The reload fires the magazine like a glaive forward
So it's a crossbow AR. The Magazine is weaponized.
Best place to farm salvage?
Best place to farm salvage?
Jupiter in general, really. In just about any given Jupiter level it drops like candy in bundles of over 100.
So today I've done some farming while waiting for my spectra to be done. Why am I crafting the super-crappy version of flux rifle, you say? For my Serrated blade/electricity, build of course!
So yeah, I should probably note down my build history again, there are things I remember leveling but I don't remember what I leveled them with. One thing I know for sure is that this is the third time I level volt, but the first time I forma him. I needed his aura to be "-", because having a low max energy combined with energy siphon giving less mod points is a bad combo. In addition to fixing this slight annoyance of mine, I've also brought along two friends which cost me 8 fieldron in total: lanka and spectra. The melee I'm using is amphis, because fuck yeah electricity (which is literally the only reason I'm using it and I'll most likely throw that and spectra away once I get them to rank 30). While I have leveled and played volt a lot, I have never tried the weapons I've brought with me, so I'll mostly describe how I feel about them in this post.
First off is the weapon that you guys expected to be a complete waste of time. Since the lanka is expensive on gallium and the mastery rank is sky-high, you'd expect it to be an end-game laser sniper. So to test if this was correct I went into a game, hid in a corner, charged the weapon and took aim. The grineer soldier I shot almost instantly exploded in half from a body-shot, while the guy next to him kept walking as if nothing happened. Lanka is a silent weapon, it requires charging, but the result is high, serrated blade damage. What is serrated blade? It's a damage type which both ignores armor and deals triple damage to infested while leaving a messy, dismembered target as a result. This is a weapon that, according to what I've heard in the wikia comments, can one-shot bosses if specced right. Already unranked, I managed to make it do 750 damage right in a grineer soldier's face with a lucky shot. I also heard it had a unique reload animation, so I hit "R" after shooting it. What I got was my tenno ripping out the magazine, pulling out a new one and mashing it in, in about two seconds. While I expected to be able to see what was going on, I can't complain about a reload animation which takes shorter time than the weapon firing. Anyway, this weapon never ceases to amaze me, just after one mission, I had to potato it. I started throwing speed trigger mods into it as I progressed, which made the charging stop being a problem and the weapon almost became semi-automatic. While I know snipe-a-ton 2000 (or snipertron vandal if you are feeling fancy) doesn't have to be charged, I haven't seen it do 250 damage unranked or being able to tear any faction in half.
On the other hand, before I had the build made, I looked up the spectra on the wiki after getting a bit sick of farming salvage and ferrite (which every weapon and their cat requires these days). I wanted to build spectra because I wanted too keep flux rifle, but I had too many primaries and too little secondaries and thought replacing flux rifle with a hand held version would be a good idea. The wiki proved me wrong: 60% less damage, half the clip size and and an ammunition pool which would drain 60% faster than flux (excluding reloading and the different clip sizes). The only reason for this weapon being so damn terrible was the mastery rank being two levels lower and the fact that you could use a primary at the same time. Other than the reduced damage and ammo, it's still like the flux rifle; a beam weapon with a range always 2 meters shorter than you want it to be, which staggers enemies out of your perfectly accurate aim, so you keep waving the beam over them until you eventually cut them in half. There is very little difference between it and the flux rifle I used when I leveled my vauban build, other than that it is worse in terms of DPS, yet manages to drain faster than flux. Every time an enemy got so close that I couldn't kill them with lanka, I had to switch to this thing and in most of those cases, I finished the enemy off with melee. While it did help weaken the enemy before the final blow, I would expect such a short-range weapon to save my life rather than "weaken" the guy running at me. While the thing is an analogy for the little brother which couldn't chop things in half easily as his big brother, I'm still going to level it with this build. I'm not going to waste 3 fieldron and an opportunity to increase my mastery rank that easily.
Now, let's talk about the amphis. This is the weapon I originally wanted to use when I rebuilt volt, but then I realized that prova was a thing and used that instead. It is a staff weapon, similar to the bo (which was my first melee weapon apart from the skana, meaning that I leveled this with volt when I first started playing Warframe), but it is more of a heavy weapon which does not knock people over. The stats are similar to orthos, which is currently my favorite melee weapon that I don't use as a transport device, except that the base damage is lower. To balance this, amphis deals electrical damage. When you do a jump attack, electricity spreads around the ground, similarly to the heat sword (which was my second new melee weapon), except it appears to be a bit less effective than I expected. It doesn't appear to stun enemies, which electrical damage usually does and the range is a bit shorter than I hoped it would be. Other than that, it is a viable weapon. Not a decent weapon, not a useless weapon, it's just something in-between which would fit better for a player who doesn't go to the void regularly, survive wave 25 on defense missions on phobos or do nightmare missions on Pluto for fun. It's a weapon for the player who have played this game a bit, but i wouldn't consider it end-game material.
Anyway, here's the part of the post most of you are actually going to read:
TL;DR:
I started a new build; volt, lanka, spectra, amphis. Lanka is a charging weapon, but has high, armor penetrating and infested-killing damage, reloads fast, is silent and cures any cancer in one shot. Spectra is a bad version of the flux rifle, if you are above rank 6 and want a beam weapon, don't bother with it. Amphis is OK, but I expected it to have a bit better jump attack than it does.
after using the miter for a bit i can thoroughly say im not a fan.
it needs to always pierce or not have a charge time.
that and it runs on sniper ammo?
the charge is bugged at the moment, but when they fix it this gun will be worthless.
if i hadnt been extremely lucky in farming the parts i would have been mad.

Indeed, I did the nightmare defense on that 3 times yesterday and went from 1000 salvage to 6000

I don't know what to do!
I love the double barrel, but I already have the Sobek and totally adore it.
I like the sniper's look, but I don't think I'd ever use it.
And the rifle is silly, but again, I don't think I'd use it.
