...Have you entirely missed the void system entirely?
Pretty much.
Pretty much.
basically you slam your nuts against an ivory and gold-plated wall until bits of a shiny guy in a white suit called Frost come out, then you put the bits together and that's how Frost Primes are born
And don't pull that whole "BEING OP DOESN'T MATTER IN A CO-OP GAME" because that's just as bullshit.
because it's a valid argument that still requires a refute? honestly, it isn't as though the gun fires automatically or has infinite range or kills everything in a 360 degree arc, it's just a gun. a single gun that, while incredibly powerful, is just a click-and-shoot-bullets gun. is it unique? does it introduce new gameplay? what makes it so special that is has to be available to all players? it's just another gun, there's no need to make such a massive deal over it. i'd much rather have a torid with it's gas cloud that does AoE damage, or the ogris with it's massive explosions and huge damage, or the dera with it's 100% accuracy, because it isn't about how much damage I can do in one sitting; it's about having fun with a wide variety of weapons that do a wide variety of things other than "muh DPS".
Why didn't you guys ever tell me the lanka owns? I brought it out today because I was tired of using my rank 27 supra and I blew away everything except ancients and this is without any mods
Why didn't you guys ever tell me the lanka owns? I brought it out today because I was tired of using my rank 27 supra and I blew away everything except ancients and this is without any mods
You should try the snipetron vandal if you have it
Sanic speed ticket response team.
Good thing this game isnt by nexon.
I find it funny how i had spent all this time getting Banshee (before I stopped playing warframe because it's just grind grind grind grind grind). I had started out with Mag and I just now realized how powerful she is. I knew that her #4 skill was strong but I didn't realize pull was that powerful until I saw the above video.

The closer U10 is, the more excited I get. I can't wait for the damage/armor overhaul. I believe it'll change the game as much as Mods 2.0 changed the mod system. Remember when Warframe 4th skill requires supercharge/potato? and that damage boost were merely 1%-15%? Totally not fun (except for Shields and Health boost being calculated multiplicatively, that was rad) Surely all these X is OP will change when it hits. When elemental damage was tweaked few updates ago it changed the game a bit (mostly infested IIRC). Now we're expecting a damage and armor overhaul (and possibly a much better enemy level scaling). Weapons like Pangolin/Dark/Plasma which were mostly ignored might finally be relevant again. Lets hope the new system shows what damage type a weapon is dealing (e.g. AP, Serrated, Fire, Toxic, Ice, Physical) and provide more useful information (e.g. base crit chance, base stun chance, base reload speed, base charge speed, weapon type). Also for people who are still actively hunting bosses for Warframe BP: Is it easier to obtain BP with Drops 2.0 compared to the old system? I need to know so that I'm mentally ready to fight new Golem over and over again for Necroframe.
I'm just hoping U10 gets me back into this game. It's been forever since I've played it. Hawken's been taking up my free time lately.
Is hawken even good? I heard it became serious P2W or something like that but they apparently fucked it up somehow and made it not worth playing but I don't remember what it was.
Is hawken even good? I heard it became serious P2W or something like that but they apparently fucked it up somehow and made it not worth playing but I don't remember what it was.
I'm not sure how it used to be, but after playing a little bit of the current version and A LOT of the community test event for the upcoming major patch for the game, its not at all P2W. The only things you can only buy with cash are cosmetics (camo, taunts, armor parts, repair drone skins) or boosts. Mechs are unlocked in a tier system. Certain mechs in each archetype are unlocked by achieving a certain pilot rank, then the rest of the mechs in that archetype can be unlocked by reaching max level with those mechs (like so). Each Mech has its own rank to it, and ranking up can unlock different upgrades and cosmetic parts for it. You can use the paid currency to skip ahead and buy a mech early, but its not really an unfair advantage. Even then, the first mech you get, while completely silly looking, is a real powerhouse. All internals (passive upgrades) and items (active support stuff) can be unlocked in game with ingame currency after reaching a certain rank. Even then they are locked until you reach that rank so you can't even skip ahead with real money. Countermeasures give you an edge in combat (IE: you can get extinguishers that activate when you overheat that cool your weapons immediately). They can be activated when you deploy but need to be "refilled" once you run out of uses. Still these can be refilled with in game credits at what seems to be a reasonable price. The only thing that works on a similar system that you can only be refilled with cash are holo-taunts, essentially deployable chibi holograms things that taunt your enemy. So far it seems to be one of the better F2P models I've seen. Along with Warframe. As for if its good? I'm fucking loving it, its a real blast to play. It's kind of an itch I've wanted scratched for a long time. I love the mech "simulators" like Mech Warrior, but I've wanted a fast paced mech game that wasn't too over-the-top fast. This is pretty much the perfect balance between mech-sim and arcade mech shooter with a progression system I don't mind playing through.
I remember HAWKEN being a bit boring, it just felt like another generic shooter and the gamemodes were uninteresting, but that was back in the closed beta. I remember that game also being amazingly optimized. I heard they improved the F2P model not too long ago as well.
Why didn't you guys ever tell me the lanka owns?
I did:
Tried making a video, showing how amazing Lanka is: Only mod I put on it was a fully fused speed trigger, so a rank 9 lanka without a potato could do this.
I just wish puncture worked for projectile weapons so I could turn it into a proper railgun.
You should try the snipetron vandal if you have it
Why? I'd consider it a sidegrade at best. It's faster, but it does less damage and doesn't do serrated blade damage.
The lanka is such a terrible railgun, i can't see myself spending that much to get it and i usually have a huge hard-on for those. Why is it silent ? why does it sound so crappy ? why is it still sharing the same model as the snipetron ? The snipeaton vandal makes a much better railgun in my opinion, if they changed the lanka to have at least some innate puncture then i would consider it.
It's technically not meant to be a railgun. According to its description, it fires projectiles using magnets!
It's technically not meant to be a railgun. According to its description, it fires projectiles using magnets!
That's what a railgun is...
A railgun is an electrically powered electromagnetic projectile launcher based on similar principles to the homopolar motor.

Haven't played since that update with Nova. Looking to jump back in, anything major that I might have missed? Particularly to Frost Primes? Since he's my main warframe.
Just read the semi-major patches like 9.1, 9.2, etc. We had a survival event, U9 was expanded, mag looks fun now and U10 can hit any moment now.
Hope U10 hits real soon. I've been wanting to play more of this game, but I just don't have the drive... I usually don't mind grind, but I still haven't been able to bring myself to make any clantech guns. I feel like I need fresh new content to get me back into it.

Everytime I look at helmet, I see a skull underneath the gold embellishment.
makes me think of
Oh boy Nekros. Almost sounds like a Greek name. [editline]12th September 2013[/editline] Also finally got Rhino + Thrak helmet.
nobody likes Nekros' pyramid hat so he sits in his space-apartment crying and trying to convince the Stalker to join his Limp Bizkit cover band
Looks like the new update is around the corner.
nobody likes Nekros' pyramid hat so he sits in his space-apartment crying and trying to convince the Stalker to join his Limp Bizkit cover band
I like it :c [editline]12th September 2013[/editline] That name sucks though. But whatever, most frames have garbage names :v: [editline]12th September 2013[/editline] Wonder what his alt helmet is gonna be like...
I'm guessing (or hoping) that it's something that vaguely resembles a skull. Just.. without the eyes, or any of the facial features, as none of the warframes have any human-like faces.
Looks like the new update is around the corner.
My guess is it will (maybe) be tonight since we only got 3 hours to buy ammo and heal kits. [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/Warframe_thing_for_U10_ya_know.jpg[/t]
