I think they decided upon what special weapon takes sniper ammo by the toss of a coin. The Ogris uses assault rifle ammo, yet something as weak as the Miter takes sniper ammo.
I love my ogris but I've killed myself with it more times than I'd like to admit
anything that isn't an assault rifle, shotgun, or pistol should take sniper ammo.
sniper ammo should be renamed to special ammo.
kunai is not a pistol -> special ammo
paris is not an assault rifle/shotgun -> special ammo
lanka is not an assault rifle/shotgun -> special ammo
ogris is not an assault rifle/shotgun -> special ammo

Anyway, I now have golden Meg building and "only" need 10 orokin cells for orthos prime, all while I have to level my nekros (or as i like to call it: "better with serrated blade")-build.
I also have two derelict survival and two derelict defense keys available. I guess a lot of people in the clan need orokin cells and neurodes, while we all need to fund Djinn, synapse and medium medkit. [B]Now help farming and pay your damn taxes![/B]

they should call it heavy ammo and give it to anything that hits hard with a low firerate (snipers, rocket launchers)

Also, RNGesus hates me. I've seriously done T1 Defense like 10 times in a row and haven't gotten braton prime BP even though it's like a 37% chance to get it. In theory I would have only needed around 3 keys average to get it...

I went there to pvp instead and forgot to donate.
I've been playing the first 5 waves Venera, Venus for several hours to get t1 exterminate keys, and I think there is a pattern in the distribution of keys. Many times in a row, the reward is a mod, but then there are occasionally groups of 3 or 4 keys, sometimes with a mod in the middle. How strange.

It's almost as if the reward were randomly determined as if by chance.
Now, it's been a few months since I've actually farmed a frame, but did they turn the drop rates for parts way down?
I've killed Hek like, a dozen times, and only gotten one Trinity piece
I got Nova earlier, and it's quite fun to play.
I imagine my current playstyle will get boring quickly though. Literally all I do is loop [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BoDFAOhbbQ]this[/url] in the background while running around and spamming the 1 key, while everything around me is utterly obliterated by the funballs. At least I can look forward to seeing the results of the antimatter drop pumped full of twin viper shots though.
That is, once I finally get my hands on the damn things, after 36 hours of building :v
I have to build 2 vipers individually (24 hours because you can only build one at a time for whatever reason) and then watch my char bang rocks together for another 12 hours as it tries to comprehend the fact that 2 vipers + 2 hands = twin vipers.
Why can't I just put it all together and just craft twin vipers from the get go? It really would make sense to be able to put the twin vipers blueprint, 2x viper blueprint, 2x viper materials, an orokin cell, and 115k together to just immediately craft twin vipers (12 hour craft time of course). That could even be a separate blueprint, just to make matters more complicated (a blueprint to combine 3 blueprints).
But no, they have to make it a shitty system so impatient players pay to rush build.

Technically, any number a computer comes up with isn't really random. If the game only generates a new seed once when you launch it, and the rng isn't done all that well, then something like that could happen. Also, wasn't there something that could predict rewards of later def waves? If that can be done, this doesn't seem that far fetched.

Well, technically they [i]do[/i] drop on the derelict void. I just wished they dropped as frequently as control modules in regular void do, I don't even need to farm CMs anymore.
