Okay, this is a dumb question but I haven't played since beta update 1, can anyone give me a quick runover of shit thats changed?

Everything.
Going to have to gloss over some stuff to keep this fairly short:
Clans have a dojo now, basically a shared space with research labs etc.
Research labs are used to get access to new weapons.
Void Keys can be used to enter the Orokin Void and get Prime weapon parts.
New Warframes like Nekros, Vauban, and Nova.
New tilesets for missions, Grinneer Galleon, Corpus Planets, Grinneer Settlements, Infested Derelict.
New Golem boss that requires a crafted key to access it.
Overhauled mod system.
Lots of new weapons.
And some other stuff probably.

I really hope they make survival work like defense where if one person leaves everyone else can keep going. It's really annoying having to tell people to stay for 15 minutes every time.

'Excellent choice' another voice said as the figure who owned it broke open another create of orokin prime equipment, 'We need to get more void keys to distract them from obtaining mutagen as well'. A dark laughter filled the room after the suggestion was heard.
As the leaders, aristocrats and lobbyists were enjoying themselves, an old and weak man soundlessly made his way through the closed door. He had difficulties walking, so he used a walking stick to not tire himself out. With a frail voice, he pushed out the words 'Excuse me?' before coughing violently, as if he was sick. Everyone in the room suddenly hid away what they were doing and turned to the old man, they tried to not look annoyed and instead attempted to pull off their best 'interested' face. 'What do you need' one of them said in a voice more fake than a cod in a stream of koi. The old man looked up on him and said 'I fear the little pond you provided for our koi is not enough, they will go sick or even die if we don't find better waters for them soon'. As he finished the last word, his voice was completely ruined. He slowly grabbed his inhaler and used it.
The room was in a matter of seconds filled with hatred. Glasses were broken, tables were flipped and Dan was boobies. One of the leaders suddenly slammed his hand into a table which was now leaning sideways and roared like an animal. Everyone fell silent and turned to him. 'We are not your servants, you little freak! Find someone else to feed your dumb fish' he yelled. The now shivering old man almost fell to his knees because of his legs giving after to the rest of his weight. 'B-but, we need the koi...' he started, before immediately getting interrupted. 'We do not need your koi' the enraged opponent said, 'You are now ranked down to utility, send him to the pits!'. Two guards appeared behind the old man and grabbed his arms, the inhaler he was about to use again fell to the ground and shattered into a million pieces. 'No, not to the pit!' he cried in an almost inaudible voice as he was dragged away, 'I heard that's where they sent all the other members during the great cleansing'.
Laughter filled the room again as the men restored the place. The man who previously dismissed the elder went back to screwing rotating metal parts up a sentinel's ass. The sage pulled his bag of mutagen back up and soon even Aftermathie came in to the sound of cheering and laughter. But the old man was never heard from again."
I give up farming the damn Seer pistol, been killing him forever and I only get recievers and blueprints, just need one bloody Seer barrel.
Can you guys recommend something better/useful than the Seer, I was going for a sidearm that I can use to snipe long distances. Or I might forget sidearms completely and stick with shotguns and my trusty hammer, being melee Rhino with loads of stats in Power is so much fun.
Farming Vor is much much much easier than farming Mag Prime System that requires 15min survival farming for Survival lll key first and you have only 30.54% of chance getting that key and after that 5min Survival void 5min while having 11.06% chance of getting Mag Prime System.

It's even worse when you're hosting, you say 'everyone stay for 15 minutes please', they agree to it, and then five minutes in while you're fighting monsters you see 'mission complete' pop up on your screen.
The fact that you guys aren't recommending acrid for sidearm makes me think that they nerfed it to uselessness. Oh god I don't play for a week and this happens?

I wish they could make the extraction thing exactly like defense is now and make the levels go on forever. I hate having to say one room from extraction for 10 minutes, just because I ran too far or being blocked off from a part of the level for 5 minutes.

Not only does it still make cartoon peepee spooge noises, it still dissolves everything that looks at it with anything less than unquestioning obedience and fervent lust . Use with Banshee/Rhino to kill bosses (any bosses) in under three seconds (provided you have x5 forma and maxed LT, HS, and BD)

Only Dojo weapon I've ever finished was the Dera
But I'd say it was worth it just for the sheer awesome of colored lasers

We have researched them all, except from synapse, djinn, medium medkit and medium shield restore. You just have to grab their blueprints. Make sure to get some fieldron and detonite injector blueprints as well, don't worry about mutagen mass, it doesn't exist, just donate all your mutagen samples to synapse instead.
I know Ogris, Supra, Lanka and Flux Rifle are god tier. If you aren't high enough mastery rank for Flux, get Spectra instead.
I've also heard Ignis, Dual Ichor, Torid and Acrid are very good too.

Naamah or something. Raptor has a high chance to give you 3, last time I checked.
I'd usually recommend fighting Hyena on Neptune, though.
