How's a brotha supposed to get mag prime? T3 survival is fucking hard [editline]13th October 2013[/editline] and T3 defense just gives me formas. I have too many formas
I've played long enough to know that grinding is all you do in this game.
All I do in this game is flip out, I just somehow ended up with items along the way.
All I do in this game is flip out, I just somehow ended up with items along the way.
I just spend most of my time changing the color of my frames and, yeah, flying off the handle all over the place.
I was able to build one whole warframe over a hundred hours of playtime.
In a little over 300 hours I've built like 6. I dunno if you have the most incredibly shitty luck or if you're just doing something wrong.
In a little over 300 hours I've built like 6. I dunno if you have the most incredibly shitty luck or if you're just doing something wrong.
10 in 300 here
I have 300 hours and I have all frames except for two and Mag Prime.
440 hours, I've maxed every frame except Saryn, Frost Prime and Mag Prime, and most weapons except a lot of that melee weapon chaff
I still think they should add space ship missions to this game. Or some sort of vehicle segments. I dont know, I tried playing again today, and I just cant stand all the farming.
I think that DE should add non-generated levels for certain alert missions per update. it'll let them add more detail than they could using tilesets, it would provide huge variety as opposed to repeated rooms, and it would add a new sense of discovery since they would be completely new and unexplored.
Warframe is the only game where you grind to get something that lets you grind some more.
This is the basis of action RPG's and most MMO's.
Where can I farm for salvage and circuits?
Where can I farm for salvage and circuits?
Try Venus defense/survival for circuits and mars for salvage
30k salvage holy mother of jesus tittyfucking christ that's a lot for just a sentinel.
It's like they heard a couple people say "I think we have too many resources sitting around" and completely overlooked the fact that people with excess resources are the people that play this game nonstop and make up about 2% of the player base. Nobody wants to grind out 30k salvage for a meh sentinel.
30K salvage is ridiculous. Doing corpus suvival for one hour during the event got me 24K. I can't do that shit again
A shit sentinel at that. Djinn is literally the supra of sentinels. Fancy looks, shit performance.
I thought the Supra was considered great? Did it get nerfed or something
I think it's safe to say that DE is pretty much going the same road of other companies that basically ran a pseudo-kickstarter for an open ended project that had no defined goals other than getting Steve's vanity project into a reality, and now that they have, there's nothing left to actually do. Additionally I think it's pretty clear that the marketing stuff they've been doing is just that; marketing. The most senior player-mod called them out on lack of content and is no longer a mod; their new marketing show is literally "watch our pretty marketing people do stuff for an hour while talking about how great the fans are" right down to a deviant art section at the end of the show, and they have yet to introduce stuff that was literally promised by Steve/Scott 7 livestreams ago, and they just introduced a rule to the forums where if you criticize the game "too harshly" you can be banned from the forums, which coincidentally will ban your actual WF account. They're happy to tell you all about the fancy new guns/swords are coming, they still have yet to fix basic stuff like input lag and collision issues that were around in closed beta 1, much less anything public. Sure some of this stuff is engine related and not at all easy to fix, but the fact is they aren't listening to fans that honestly do have their best interests at heart and have really REALLY simple fixes for stuff that is completely doable, and now they've actually started booting people off the forums for critiquing their product in anything less than a completely obsequious "golly DE it would surely be nice if'n you done fixed this here armor scaling, shucks" (looks up with puppy dog eyes, shuffles feet and offers random staffer blowjobs) Supposedly they have 4 million players, but their peak numbers are 14K (l4d2 and Mass Effect 3 multi still have these same pop numbers to this day despite their age and no new content) every week during events and about half that without an event, and there are three games coming down the pipe that use the same kind of mechanics they have from much MUCH larger companies that will be throwing this stuff out on consoles as well as PC with much more lenient mechanics and way fancier graphics, and instead of rallying behind their fans and giving them a reason to stay invested, they're putting out insanely expensive content and encrypting their loot tables so you can't tell where the hell to get shit... which is the whole reason for playing the damn game in the first place since there's no story and bosses literally exist to be bullet pinata cash registers. And last but not least, the inevitable power creep on weapons that pretty well defines the grind lottery (that's right, a lottery; you're not guaranteeing a prize at the end, you're giving a CHANCE to get a prize.... no comment) to begin with. If this game is around even a year and half from now I will be absolutely amazed.
I thought the Supra was considered great? Did it get nerfed or something
The supra is awful and always has been. The rub was if you could get an enemy to stand in place or run straight at you (Nyx, Rhino, Frost) and had five forma, you could beat up low level d00ds super quick cause they couldn't run away from the slow ass bullets. Right now, with five forma it's like the 11th or 12th most damaging weapon in the game. Which isn't a big deal until you consider the Acrid is slightly cheaper and Ignis is way cheaper and the Ogris is as well. From an economic standpoint the output of the weapon doesn't justify the insane cost, meanwhile the Synapse is basically the thing the Supra was supposed to be, so there's not even a reason to actually build it anymore. It doesn't help that DE doubled the enemy level range due to complaints that enemies are too weak in the game, so now the enemy armor makes the gun suck even more than it did already, and that's not going be changed in armor 2.0. While armor scaling will be reduced, the weapon has never done decent damage against armor to begin with, and what kills the weapon is the spread, spooling and bullet travel time. Why you'd ever build a Supra when the Soma does three times the damage with instant hitscan without ultra slow John Woo dove bullets and is a FOURTH of the Supra's price is beyond me. Here's a thing: They're retiring the machine gun that does 65% of supra damage with no travel time due to lack of use. Hrmm.
Honestly, I can see this game dying really really quickly. The grind is getting ridiculous for 'standard' things, and it's getting obvious that they're not thinking about new players at all. I can barely keep up with the resource inflation and I had stupid amounts of resources, someone who has no idea what they're really doing, or starting out is completely fucked. Hell, I'm guessing that a huge amount of players don't even know that things like the Acrid and Ogris are received through Clan shenanigans only, or in some extreme cases, the fact they exist.
If this game didn't have a wiki I probably would have stopped playing a long time ago.
Ok so after grinding through all the planets I needed, finally about to create my ember frame. Any helpful info and what would be a good weapon combo? Any help would be thanked!
Nope, it's still pretty good. The supra isn't bad. The Ignis has a limited range compared to supra. Acrid and Ogris is just terribly unbalanced, so I don't think those are worth comparing to. The Synapse costs way more than the supra. The bullet travel time can be dealt with depending on the user. If you can't aim or reposition to compensate for the bullet travel time, then the Supra isn't meant for you. It really shines in golem since the spread doesn't affect it as much there. As for the Soma, I have nothing to say against that since the Soma seems to beat every other primary. The spin-up can be ignored unless you're killing single targets with low health, or when you need to move around a lot, which I don't think ever happens in this game. My supra has two forma in it and this was built around crowd controlling. So it has Shred instead of Fast Trigger and whatever else I could fit. [editline]14th October 2013[/editline] Oh, and the Supra shoots lasers.
That's great and all, why you don't you try that exact set up and do it on Kril instead so we can see how a target that doesn't have laser weakness and has decent armor acts with it.

Its grinding for the sake of more grinding. In a lot of online games, you grind for good gear so you can do raids/bosses better. But unlike those games, all warframe is right now is to grind for gear, so you use that gear to grind for more gear. Its incredibly pointless, you can do most of this game's content with low level weapons.
Its incredibly pointless, you can do most of this game's content with low level weapons.
I've seen people in Level 50+ missions still using Braton, Skana and Lato.
27x just has a vendetta against the supra
I've seen people in Level 50+ missions still using Braton, Skana and Lato.
I've seen guys with rare as shit gear like prime weapons then be using a skana
27x just has a vendetta against the supra
It's just a mediocre way overpriced weapon. If I had a vendetta I wouldn't have bothered making or formaing it.
dual skana 4 lyfe
I never understood the dual skana. Why would someone want 2 of the starter weapon? It's just a weird thing to have
