Its all about charge damage though. Normal attacks are bad.

The Galatine is incredible.
Watching Rhino + Voltspeed charge attacking shit with the Galatine + full pressure point is a sight to behold.
Also I found out that Loki in conclaves is like a REALLY fast ancient disruptor that can't miss and is also invisible.

I'd like the Machete if it looked like a Machete.
It does not.
I know a real machete would clash with the art style, but I would kinda like to see more traditional style weapons that aren't turned into futuristic tech looking.

Everyone always just uses the Galatine and the Soma. They need to buff melee combat to actually make it worthwhile. Everyone just immediately defaults to ranged weapons at higher levels because it does virtually the same damage as melee weapons and allows you to take cover.
I don't know why, but I absolutely love the Pangolin Sword. Maybe it's the way it looks, but I just love it. Also, I used the Glaive for the entire event. If you max out the penetration and less bounce mod, and stack both charge damage mods, it is great for crowd control.

Well Glaive and Krestrel are more utility than melee. If you're not big on melee then they're probably the best choice.
But I hope they make normal attacks have combos, and more damage.

They also showed the first 15 seconds of the upcoming trailer featuring Alad V.
They kinda have an Illuminati lodge, it was really similiar to how it looked in Deus Ex:HR(i.e. floating head portraits)

It's not like all the early promotional material was showing the grineer as the primary bad guys or anything...
I like how their response to people saying they have too many resources was to make these newer weapons stupidly expensive... and then new players have no hope of ever completing them.
