The symbols next to the damage numbers are apparently for when a proc triggers, not to show what element it is.

As someone with a shit upload speed, I completely agree with this.
I'm really not a fan of the environmental effects only working some of the time.
If I hit something with a Prova I would expect it to get shocked.
Even stranger, the Heat sword doesn't do heat damage.

A decent way to make sure you'll be the host is set your minimum latency to the lowest setting, that way the game will reject all sessions over 100 latency when you click a mission node. Then once you close the rejection prompt, you'll be in the lobby where you can start the mission as the host and have others join freely.

If I were to reject >100 ping sessions I would only play solo..
What I really want is have a choice to start an online party if I want. You once could by starting a match as private then switching to online during the countdown. Doing that now brings you back to the planet map :(

I have a 150 ping limit set and I still get God awful hosts from the Netherlands who are playing on satellite on a cloudy day.

Well, me and my mates have been playing Warframe every night this week, playing high level missions, levellin' up new guns, barely surviving Survival through teamwork and whatnot. Then the update hits, we go to the Orokin void for a bit of good ol' tower survival... And I'm one-hit headshot killing fucking Corrupted Grineer with a level 12 Latron. It took like three waves for the OROKIN TOWER to get actually deadly. It was so bloody underwhelming that it pretty much killed our will to continue.
