yes, it's nowhere near as realistic as the flesh-warping viruses, interstellar travel, sci-fi weaponry and flexible armoured ninjas with magic powers would have you believe the game is
Space STDs and alien gimp suits are open to an artist's rendition, a map of somewhere real you say your game takes place in has much less.. freedom of portrayal.
On saturn we're on ships or asteroid-mining complexes orbiting the planet. On jupiter we're on those corpus bases that circle the planet like satellites and don't fall following the same principle of perpetually-falling-sideways, or so I believe.
Makes you wonder how we're able to survive on Jupiter and Saturn. Especially regarding their gravitational force.
more like how is there a stable surface to stand on because jupiter is a gas giant. from the earlier mission intros, it's implied that all the missions take place on orbiting stations around these places. it's only more recently we've had actual groundfall.

Also the map probably like the map of the london underground, it's there to mark key points and not be an accurate representation of the thing in question.
Mars is covered in ice missions. Let that sink in.

Would make for a cool Hazard like that mpde in Minecraft or CS:S where you have to destroy the floor under your enemies.

No? To my knowledge, enemies die after being knocked off. Besides, you could work it like the floor is lava or there's a huge horde of melee enemies from a faction that'll attack them when they fall.
Actually, gas gianta would have a stable enough surface to fight on. Would make for a cool Hazard like that mpde in Minecraft or CS:S where you have to destroy the floor under your enemies.
really? do explain (genuine interest here).
Just throwing something in on the "what's under the suit" discussion, consider the prisoners we rescue; they look to be mostly human, are wearing what appear to be interface suits, and importantly lack visible eyes. It's not impossible that they're what Tenno look like under the frame (although it's also possible that they're just humans working for the Lotus).
They said in a livestream rescue missions are for human civilians, not naked warframes. The hostages are just normal humans.
Mars is covered in ice missions. Let that sink in.
Terraforming and/ or asteroids.
Mars is covered in ice missions. Let that sink in.
But mars has Ice caps.... made of dry ice no less.
Mars is covered in ice missions. Let that sink in.
They're not on the surface tho. Really the only place we landed so far was Phobos
I now have to invest my time and effort into a vectis so I can do this. The next big thing from vipering.
They're not on the surface tho. Really the only place we landed so far was Phobos
Yeah they are. Unless the vast Mountainscapes and outdoor areas you see in ice missions are just incredibly good holograms.
There's a plastid alert going on. You know what to do.
Terraforming and/ or asteroids.
Warframe's astronomy is silly. In Warframe, Phobos is a large desert covered world with a thick atmosphere and has loads of canyons and rivers. Phobos IRL: [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/5c/Phobos_colour_2008.jpg/613px-Phobos_colour_2008.jpg[/t] It's about ~12 kilometers in diameter and shaped like a lumpy pear. A remote controlled car could reach escape velocity just driving along the surface.
There's a plastid alert going on. You know what to do.
I was all excited, did the event, 300 plastids. On the bright side, got 1500 extra Plastids to dump into a fountain.

So my laptop exploded, and 2 weeks have passed since I've played. And somehow my collector drone is still alive. That little guy is tough.

Yeah it always struck me as odd that they decided to set it in our solar system, considering there's not much creative license available. I've been wondering how Destiny is going to handle it as well. Though I suppose the biggest reason is the familiarity. It feels more "personal" I guess as opposed to fighting over a bunch of fake planets.
Earth is dissapointing. It be pretty neat to go to destroyed earth cities instead of what it is.
Also I found a player with default equipment all the way in eris, who had not figured out how or what the modification system did.
Is the gorgon any good? I just got the blueprint from the login reward.
Is the gorgon any good? I just got the blueprint from the login reward.
It's shit. Sell it for monies. Speaking of, why is upgrading mods so costly?
Is the gorgon any good? I just got the blueprint from the login reward.
Sadly, the other LMG's completely outclass it. And don't expect it to get buffed because its technically a "retired" weapon. [editline]3rd December 2013[/editline]
Earth is dissapointing.
A remote controlled car could reach escape velocity just driving along the surface.
I guess that's why Doomguy runs so fast
