Also, I've been trying to work out why we're bothering to protect these forests. It's surprisingly difficult.
1) We're not protecting the balance of nature, as the forests are Orokin-engineered super trees.
2) Despite the claims of the Lotus, the Grineer have clearly tried to settle in the forests (as evidenced by Hek's teaser letter and the mossy ruins), but failed because the aforementioned super trees kept breaking their shit. These forests are pretty inimical to things trying to live in them.
3) We could be trying to stop Earth's ecology getting ruined, but seeing as Earth's been consistently described as a polluted wasteland, we're a little bit too late; in addition, letting the Grineer fuck themselves over by shitting all over their homeworld's atmosphere seems like a much easier way of doing things.
4) I guess we could simply be doing this to prevent the Grineer gaining more territory, but that would mean that the Lotus is being unusually coy about causing misery to another faction, plus it seems a bit moot seeing as [I]they control the rest of the planet.[/I]

Considering Vay Hek is the guy in charge of propaganda, he may very well be trying to gain control of Earth for propaganda and morale purposes which may give a boost to Grineer forces as well as a new staging point
Then again they're mind controlled clones so even then it's still a moot point
I wish DE would just come out and say there are more races in the universe, some stuff just doesn't add up. Propaganda for who exactly? Are the Corpus doing trade and mercantilism with themselves?
The lotus is just a catfish who wants to be popular among the koi, so she tricked the tenno to work for her.

That always makes me tempteted to record that line and to add it on some metal track.
And given what we know from the Stalker, I don't think the Tenno or Lotus actually care about the Orokin or their works considering they slaughtered them all without warning. So I can't imagine she'd actually care that much about them being Orokin forests or anything.
Only thing I can think is something is hidden on Earth she doesn't want the Grineer finding and instead wants for herself.

So I'm loving stug but is there any way to mod it? Most of the mods i've tried don't seem to increase its damage at all. I've got lethal torrent and hornet strike those are the only two so far that's increased its damage. I can't seem to find a way to increase the corrosive damage at all, any ideas?

I did that already, it doesn't affect it at all, someone on the DE forums said that possibly the only way to increase its damage will be the dual status mods from the event.

Ya I know that, but it still doesn't fix the problem that besides hornet strike there seems to be no other mod that increases it's damage, unless DE is gonna release some new mods that already have combo'd elemental damage.

The Karak? Its not Soma good, has a really low crit rate, I haven't had a chance to test it at high level stuff almost got it to 30 and its already potato'd need to mod it up. Biggest complaint is that its only a 30 bullet clip and the RoF is pretty fast so you burn through a clip so fast you run out of ammo pretty fast unless there are tons of ammo pickups or you have a rifle mutation mod. Feels like every assault rifle after Soma is going to be under its shadow because soma blows this away but hey 3k mastery points eitherway, seems the infested whip is so-so as well from what I've heard.
Also, is armour still a bit funky? All other combos wreck infested and corpus, but I find armour makes harder grineer way more powerful even against weapons with armour piercing mods and elements.

Tried transmutation for the first time, read on the wiki you should use rare mods of same polarity.
I used 4 rare V mods

As much as i want to play the nekro, i have a feeling that they will be discounting platinum significantly in the future.
Once the novelty of this games wears off, we will see a fluctuation in currency.
