I can pretty much guarantee it will.
I claimed my ash and dual viper after buying a $10 plat pack. I also bought potatoes for my ash and excalibur, and for the dual viper and dual ether. I can honestly say that once I started using Ash, I haven't felt like such a badass since I first started playing the game. At the same time though, the dual Viper seem underwhelming to me. They're something I really want to be good, because they have so much potential, and they are getting better as I mod them.
I also bought two (four? because one upgrade adds two slots) weapon slot upgrades, and three frame slots. One of those three is now taken up by ash, one is waiting for banshee, and the other is reserved for frost prime.
Twin Vipers feels like a silly weapon that you'd only use when you feel like hilariously ejecting all your bullets at once and then running out of ammo, but it's kind of wonderful against big targets like bosses
It felt weak at first but I'm pretty much using it exclusively both at short and long-ish range.

I had a barrel diffusion much earlier, but not knowing how rare it is, I fused it with hornet strike I think. I need another one. :suicide:
I do have a maxed out multishot on my boltor though. I can kill a high level ancient or Grineer special solder with only half of my mag. I love it. And I'm for some reason constantly getting shotgun multishot. I almost have one maxed out, even though I don't have a shotgun.

No fucking shit, I've yet to get a potato alert or any fucking significant alert while not sleeping or not at school, all the good shit's happening at EU prime time or something and totally ignoring NA's existence, I won't lie this is getting me flustered a bit. Out of all the alerts that gave shit, I've only been able to actually do 3, one was the 12 hours potato, another was the excal helmet and the other was Energy Siphon which has yet to actually appear in my artifacts list.
