The point of vipers is to load up on an antiboss mod permutation and use them to do insanely high close up burst damage. If you're using them for anything else you're going to be sad at higher level game play.

What do you guys think of Oberon? Also I don't understand armor ignore or penetration or what I'll need to have for higher level maps at all, if anyone could explain that would be lovely
What do you guys think of Oberon?
He has nice feet.
I don't understand armor ignore or penetration or what I'll need to have for higher level maps at all, if anyone could explain that would be lovely.
The developers countered that, now you have to choose elements based on what you are fighting, because some enemies have resistances to certain types of damage now. Just check the wiki and see what's best to use, at the moment, it's a bit of a headache to get around.
Personally, I roll with: Piercing, Corrosive and sometimes Blast for Grineer Impact, Magnetic and Toxin for Corpus Slash and Gas for infested.

I started with Mag then got Oberon and now have Nova (heard she is stronk), but i keep having this urge to hop back to Oberon, because: 1. You have a heal that wont let you die during regen 2. You have Mags crush with extra hp drops 3. You explode enemies simply by looking at them and pressing (1) (And i just love those little particles that bounce around the places.) His electric carpet thing is shit though.

He's a very all-around frame, though. DPS, support and utility mixed together is something you usually see in starter frames like excalibur and volt (even though he isn't a starting frame anymore).

I never did when I use him before I got FrostPrime.
Neither do I, but I've heard it gives the bullets you shoot through it bonus electric damage.
What do you guys think of Oberon?
I can hardly ever get his ult to work properly due to its shit range and target cap. And hollowed ground to me is utterly useless. But smite and restoration I love incredibly.
With all this talk of Frost Prime, I should ask; what's he like to play as? I started building him before I went home for Christmas, so some advice would be appreciated.

I personally really like him. If I'm even going to change Warframe it's only probably for rare as fuck Vauban(I need two more parts of his) [editline]7th January 2014[/editline] His 1st ability is really meh because of it's tiny radius. Lemme make a giant freeze explosion instead of bullet-sized ice projectile.
Snow globe is one of the best abilities in the game... Till some sneaky bastard heavy units push you out of it. I just Potatoed and forma'd the guy (a D slot for extra tankyness. Probably a mistake)
Talking about Volt - does anyone actually use electroshield? I never did when I use him before I got FrostPrime.
I tend to use it if i'm gonna be in once place for a while, or when I encounter a bunch of heavy gunners.
[t]http://puu.sh/6dfzJ.jpg[/t] Whoops.
Neither do I, but I've heard it gives the bullets you shoot through it bonus electric damage.
I think it boosts your crit chance too
I can hardly ever get his ult to work properly due to its shit range and target cap. And hollowed ground to me is utterly useless. As for range, it's not mags "erradicate everything you see around you"-Crush. It is meant as cc/support dmg/heal ability and does job well for me.
Talking about Volt - does anyone actually use electroshield? I rarely use speed, since now whenever I use it my teammates use their newfound agility to rush to extraction rather than save a teammate that has fallen behind. Also if you want to get your full use out of a pair of twin vipers, add a +2/3 seeker to it. [editline]8th January 2014[/editline]
Dunno about target cap. So got a message back from support and they say it's not in my inventory for it so I sold it and made some cents off of it waiting to buy one again when it lowers. This also happened when I went to purchase it when steam got wacky. EDIT: And bought it again and never received it in game... Do I have to beat at least 1 mission to get the said item I bought from the market ? If not my acc is linked to my steam.

Crush has a better range by itself and using power range mod with it makes it even more destructive.
Thanks for the info about Oberon, I'm pretty excited for him to finish building, also how are prime frames different from their normal ones? besides looks of course
Thanks for the info about Oberon, I'm pretty excited for him to finish building, also how are prime frames different from their normal ones? besides looks of course
They have different polarities and if you get next to a death orb in void missions, you get 100 energy
They have different polarities and if you get next to a death orb in void missions, you get 100 energy
oooo, that sounds pretty useful
They have different polarities and if you get next to a death orb in void missions, you get 100 energy
Speaking of which, does that just not work for Ember Prime because it doesn't seem like it does.
I really need some blue potatoes for a few of my weapons. Hopefully a few alerts will come up with them soon. [editline]8th January 2014[/editline]
Speaking of which, does that just not work for Ember Prime because it doesn't seem like it does.
It does actually. The weird thing though is that they only changed her default polarities, didn't give her a new one like they did with the other primes.
I better collect resourses for laser minigun(Supra it was?) rather than Flux Rifle then? I'd like to try it out because laser beam but some people keep saying it's not as good as it used to be..
I put a 105% more damage mod on my Karak. Along with a fully ranked magazine mod and a firerate mod. It destroys worlds now. :v:
Supra is still pretty good, and shoots pretty lights.
I meant Flux to be less powerful than it was. [editline]8th January 2014[/editline] Eh I'll get it only on next rank anyways, which will unlock Penta, so that's primary slot already reserved, sort of. I might craft 3-4 new guns and switch them occasionally. [editline]8th January 2014[/editline]
I put a 105% more damage mod on my Karak. It's a good weapon anyways.
