Iron Skin makes you invincible though, very useful for solo. Stomp also works as crowd control of sorts.

They're not crits, they are 'unaware bonus'- they have a different multiplier and they're not affected by critical damage mods.

I thought that 'stealth' attacks were always crits, hence how 'red' crits can happen (a random crit on top of a stealth crit)?

Turns out the unaware bonus appears as yellow numbers, and a unaware bonus on top of a crit appears as red.

a red crit is a critical stealth attack.
there are other instances I can't explain, like Volt electric shield + synapse sometimes giving red crits

mag prime is ugly as hell though with all that gold crap.
frost prime is still the best looking prime in my opinion.

Wouldn't that just be Frost with a different pattern and gold vents if you just changed the helmet? Frost prime is boring compared to Ember prime and Mag prime.
They're supposed to look Orokin, that's why there's so much gold. Just use white, and the gold on classic pallete for prime stuff and to make non-prime stuff match.

Saryn Flux Twin Gremlins Dual Kamas is my usual loadout since a while
If we are sharing loadouts, I usually roll with:
The Ash wielding a Grakata/Ogris, Dual Wraith Vipers and Galatine.
The Grakata has RIDICULOUS crit and status chance when modded properly, making it a great anti-grineer/corpus/infested weapon. The Ogris is pretty self-explanatory; it's a gun that shoots boom-booms that can kill you. The Dual Wraith Vipers are broke as hell powerful, but just hemorrhages ammo. Lastly, the Galatine is you basic "I give a big swing and things die" stick.
