Plasma sword for mobility, Orthos for straight damage. The plasma sword has good charge damage, which means you can put on a maxed fury and such, but it pales in comparison to chargeattacking with the pole arm.
No, it is not garbage beyond garbage.
so, using mag's pull excessively on the grineer defense against the infestation where you defend a giant reactor core...breaks the game. a lot. it makes the reactor core disappear and they can no longer hurt it unless they group up and fall inside the reactor, and then you can just use pull once to get them out of there since it takes forever for them to get down inside it...
i would assume it works when you're defending against the grineer as well, but they have guns so i'm not sure if that will change anything...i doubt it.

You can stick them on your sentinel but it's a little tricky to do. Crouch against a wall while facing it, look up and throw them. Sometimes they will fly off in a random direction but you can usually get a few on.
Plasma sword apparently has high proc and crit chance but I still need to rank up my magistar, reaper prime, scoliac, and orthos prime.
Im having some problems vs Grineer around level 20, my bolter just doesnt seem to be packing that much of a punch anymore, any suggested weapons to deal with them? phobos is a pain in the ass right now

rank 6 serration and maxed fast hands, it's not 30 yet, so maybe that's a problem, rank 21 atm

First of all, add elementals until you can get split chamber and serration to a higher level.
I suggest corrosive (since you want to do extra damage against armour).

Serration increases base damage, which is multiplied by elemental modification cards. You will do more damage if you switch out the fast hands for a toxic, fire, or electricity card.

I usually try to stick Tesla to my teammates. Once I did so with sticking around 10 of them to my friend, and, well, he became a walking Tesla zapper which produced experience for me.

I love the Boltor but there are better weapons.

I'd actually like to try the soma, but I'm not mastery rank 6 yet.
And I'm not really sure how they compare damage wise, a fully forma'd and potato'd boltor can probably get really really high puncture damage, but a fully decked out soma could probably get insane crit rate/damage..
I'm not sure which is more effective in the end.

It's been a long time since then, but back when i swapped from my boltor to my soma i noticed a huge damage increase once i got the right mods on, even before the potato.
Course, that was before the buff, and before damage 2.0.
What's the best dual melee weapon?
Thinking of buying either dual Ethers or dual Heat Swords.

The Soma is always going to be more effective in the end. It has a damage ceiling upwards of 600 damage per shot. It doesn't mean that its more fun of a weapon though. I think of a soma as more of a utility to farm tier III levels and alert missions rather than for online runs, because it turns most of the game into a point and click adventure.

How to Soma - put max crit chance and damage, rifle ammo mutation and serration of any sorts, done. For me it's still a fun weapon because I loved Grakata and Gorgon, and now want to try out Supra when I get to rank 7. But I usually switch my main weapons, most of the time I used Penta, now gonna switch to Latron Prime.

The strange gray shapes on the screen pop up when I'm not looking at a specific door in the room, same goes for the weird model rendering thing in the labs. The screen also turns really bright if I'm too far away from a door.

I had a similar situation but it randomly occured on a normal mission, and needless to say, it scared the crap out of me. I thought it was screen distortion that Harvester was causing.
