yeah, ok DE
btw this is just for one frame and the frame components like chassis etc also have to be researched for the same cost over again
have fun guys!
Christ, soon enough it'll be more trouble than what it's worth to get any new gear.

Gave as much as i could towards the new frame, starting to run really low on credits and materials. Hopefully DE realizes this huge grind isn't fun, nor is it suitable end-game content.
Do you guys think that DE might be having extremely high research costs when something is first introduced, then lowering them a few days so people get impatient and spend plat on them?
Lol void keys are 1/2/3 plat per tier now?

I hope they never put another frame in that lab if they stay with these absurd research times.

Well, the grind isn't meant to be fun, it is meant to make you invest in plat to get things without the grind.
Welcome to the F2P business strategy!
4 Ext T1 later I got 3 Frost Prime BP, 1 Ext T2, and no Dakra Prime BP.
What the fuck is this
ive done 8 T3D keys today to 20-25 minutes and have not seen a single prime part.
im going to say its broken.

To be honest I kind of get irked when I hear people who haven't spent a cent on the game complain that they can't easily get everything for free quickly. Like I just want to be a sarcastic dick and tell them "What? You mean to tell me that the cash shop items in this free game can all be earned for free but it's not easy to get them that way compared to buying them? BY GODS YOU'RE RIGHT, CALL THE FUCKING COPS AND HAVE THESE CRIMINALS SUED, THIS IS A TRAVESTY! THEY'VE WASTED OUR PRECIOUS TIME AND...well none of our precious money BUT FUCK THEM."
Thing is, some of the grindiest things in the game (prime weapons and frames that aren't part of "Prime Access", stupid fucking detron, all clan tech prior to the U12 additions) are things you can't buy with real money even if you wanted to. So I just don't know what to think of it all, really.
I think they made a mistake this patch: the Steel Charge aura has now 10 levels instead of just 5, so if you have the right affinity and you got the aura maxed you can get up to 27 extra energy for your Warframe. That's retarded.
The grind has gotten way shorter for most things too. I wouldn't be surprised if I fought Jackal 50 times to get Rhino, and Hyena more for all those control modules I needed.

I guess that's one way to deal with the supremacy of energy siphon.

Wow really? I just had to fight Jackal like 3 times in a row to get each part of the bluprint. And this was like 4 days ago :v:

Bosses used to not even drop a part every time, and when they did they literally dropped it as a physical object just like resources which means sometimes they would drop the part you needed only for it to get stuck somewhere inaccessible and you were fucked.

This image shows the old system of getting warframe part BP. The amount of neurodes shows roughly how many times I killed Phorid, but cannot be used to show EXACTLY how many times I killed Phorid because FUCK FIELDRON SAMPLE AND NANO SPORES.
I finally got Nyx system after I got around 24-26 neurodes.
Thats the old system.

Could be actually. If one thing is OP, make the rest of them OP too. Like rejuv. I don't know if it's OP, but 3 health a sec sounds super nice.
Could be actually. If one thing is OP, make the rest of them OP too. Like rejuv. I don't know if it's OP, but 3 health a sec sounds super nice.
It really is. That friend I just got in the clan? In his low level frames, he stays at full health in Vampire nightmare missions.
Well you can get ~50-80 oxium per Kappa mob def so go and take that x4 you get ~200-320 per run so it is just couple hours of farming.
does anyone want to do the orokin derelict vault things?

a friend and i ran raptor a grand total of 87 times before we got a nova systems.
those were dark times...
[editline]2/7[/editline]
i finally finished my sentinels DMR and a second serration to go with it...
[t]http://i.imgur.com/cH4PMIb.jpg[/t]
i now have two level 10 serration mods.
Been trying to get Paris prime blueprint.
Never wants to drop for me.

I can for a little while if you're still doing it.
I bought 10 Ext T1 keys for 1plat each.
One of those better give me Dakra Prime BP.
I can for a little while if you're still doing it.
I decided not to after reading how damn annoying it all is
[editline]7th February 2014[/editline]
derelict keys aren't lost when you forfeit the mission right?
so I can forfeit the derelict mission as many times as I need to get the right vault for the dragon key I have?

Same here. I got every single part except the main blueprint.
Warning; Wall of text regarding grinding/plat incentives:
I think all of this talk about grinding is a bit silly.
I have to wait 3 days for a warframe to build?
Okay, I'll just play with another frame in the mean time, or gather some materials in the void/towers. Or maybe I'll just play a different game.
Complaining about the Oxium requirements is likewise, a bit silly.
What people forget is that this material was just released. The costs are scaled to be similar in gather time compared to other materials.
It's just that most people are used to having massive stockpiles of the old materials that they can throw at whatever they want.
Other new gear released before used materials that were already gather-able.
The result is that all the high-end players could very rapidly acquire the new gear leaving the newer / less active players that don't have massive stockpiles in the dust.
Introducing a new material puts both player types on even ground. The fact that it's a clan-only frame does skew this in the wrong direction though, since most new/less active players don't have access to a clan.
That said, I do think having clan-specific gear/frames is a good move.
There's plenty of non-clan stuff in the market, so complaining about this is a simple case of wanting the new shiny toy without wanting to put in the effort/contribute to the clan.
If you want it now, buy it with plat. That's the business model and there is nothing wrong with it.
While requiring 9.5 days to get a new frame built as a F2P is certainly a bit extreme, I only play an hour or two in the evening, a bit more in the weekends.
This means that, while I have enough time to get materials to contribute to the research and build my frame, I'm put on even ground with other players in the clan that play for much longer stretches of time.
Again, if you want it now, buy some plat. Coupons are plentiful and 300 plat is not that much.
Value for money for gear is much also better compared to purely cosmetic stuff, so it's not like they are extorting you for playtime and plat in order to get the "new shiny thing".
It's not even close to EA levels of "New color scheme for $29,95!".
If it ever becomes that you can bet your ass my tone will sour, but until then: Chill.
Unless you are playing frost, in which case you are now fucked.
I did a T3 defense and at the guaranteed key/prime part at wave 15 it offered another T3 defense key
But then we stayed to wave 20 and got a Braton Prime reciever so fuck yeah

no, the pricing makes no sense
oxium only drops from one uncommon enemy type that is only found in 1/3rd of levels, and even when it does drop it drops in pitiful amounts (1-2 per)
in addition, as if it wasn't bad enough, birdframe costs MORE oxium to research than other items cost in common materials like salvage
