You mean looking like a badass bitch?
Nah man Although in all seriousness I just dislike Zephyr's model because it looks too organic and messy, which feels inconsistent with the aesthetic of some of the earlier frames and tenno weaponry. While the warframes are technocyte biotech, they still usually look like they were manufactured; their weaponry is sleek with organic curves, but not so much that it looks like living tissue. Zephyr (and Oberon, now I think of it) look more like particularly symmetrical infested; less like suits of armour, and more like creatures in their own right. [sp]Of course, aesthetic is subjective and beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so if you think she looks good keep on truckin[/sp]

Each has a different look from the next for the most part. Some though do have similar styles, particularly the female frames like Nyx, Mag, Ember, and the others. The male frames have all had widely different styles though, and they're clearly trying to get more of that with Valkyr and Zephyr. Frost looks like they just threw on a flat hat and the nearest trench coat he could find. Nekros looks like a creature had a kid with the reaper. Vauban is like some weird deep dive suit. The older female frames all have very similar styles that are less distinct or intricate, and I'm glad to see them make the frames overall more detailed.

There is this balance between biological armour and mechanical parts, flowing scripts and insignias stencilled onto the more rigid parts of the frame. Each of them are distinctive, but still all look like they come from the same faction. They have a strong visual identity, like every other faction in the game. However, with some of the others this gets thrown out the window. Vauban looks straight up Corpus, with no biotech influence whatsoever. Ash has no visible machinery, essentially being a guy in a morphsuit with kebab meat strapped to his arms. Banshee's armour is just a collection of curved plates, with neither mechanical nor biotech influence appearing. And, to complete the circle, Zephyr looks like an infested creature, not a warframe. They don't fit into the overall visual identity that defines the Tenno as a faction, which I why I dislike their designs; for a game that is exceptionally good in the aesthetics department, the fact that a good chunk of the playable classes don't look like they should be in their faction grates with me. Extra detail is great, but it doesn't automatically make the design better.
Bombards and Napalms should have a Jat Kittag they whip out when Tenno get close, it feels really weird how they have no qualms with blowing themselves up
A potato is slang for slot doubling through orokin reactor or catalyst. The name came from digital extremes employees [editline]16th February 2014[/editline] They are not renewable and are gifted rather rarely, which is why people are sighing.
The name potato came from this video:
I thought it was from the devs themselves calling them potatoes
I thought it was from the devs themselves calling them potatoes
Well the video came out and everyone liked it. Players started calling reactors and co potatos. The devs picked up on that and saw the video (which they liked aswell), so the devs started calling them potatos sending the term mainstream. Its the same kinda thing as what happened with the name of the Havester. small group of players -> picked up by the devs -> pretty much everyone in the community.
Let me fix that for you- All Grineer and Corpus units should have melee weapons other than old Provas.
I think most units melee should be fixed, if I'm slashing some guy with a sword they shouldn't be able to just shrug off my sword slicing through their torso and elbow me (And give me knockback). Ancients are still bullshit, they run up to you at the speed of light and instantly hit you in what seems like a fixed circular radius around them leading to some wired twisty shit going on with their arm and it often just straight up clips through their body. Its nigh unavoidable and knocks you down and is pretty much the only difficultly offered by the infested fraction. Everything else the infested do is shit easy to avoid and unless I'm being dumb or careless nothing can really touch my and I assume its the same for most players. If I die via infested its 9 times out of 10 because an ancient crawled out some hole and ran up behind me and knocked me over causing me to be swarmed by everything else. And to top it all off disruptors exist. Fuck them. /rant

Way before it, to be honest.
Potato came about because the things look like potatoes and people made jokes about it Who'da thunk it
"You cannot connect to any sessions because your ping is too high" Speed Test says I have 17 ping. Whatever you say Warframe.
it's p2p connections you doofus.
it's p2p connections you doofus.
Regardless, I doubt my connection is so bad as to not connect to one of 8 different people.
you underestimate the power of the siema.

I can deal with them on Trinity and Loki just fine before they become a real threat because I know to actively look for them everywhere I go.
You mean looking like a badass bitch?
Volt with a skirt isn't particularly effusive of "badass".
Volt with a skirt isn't particularly effusive of "badass".
People still compare her to Volt?
People still use Volt?
People still use Volt?
i feel like volt was stealth buffed a few patches ago because shock and overload feel a lot more powerful than they used to be.
People still use Volt?
I use Volt and Loki for everything.
Did that one survival mission on Ceres and got two Orokin cells. It also reminded me how much high-level Grineer makes me want to pull my hair out. There's just fucking stunlocks and bulletsponges everywhere
Woop, the parts for Vauban are in the oven, and I have a cell ready and waiting. Vauban is miiine.

Fuck them. /rant
Yeah, I kind of wish they'd pull out a basic melee weapon and maybe actually block or dodge or something instead of the weirdly inconsistent staggering/knocking you back they do now. Maybe we can get something like it when they start developing melee more with 2.0. I generally don't have much trouble with Ancients as long as I can see them coming, but I understand what you're saying and how it could be annoying.
People still use Volt?
Volt was my only frame until a few days ago. I had that thing since before mods were overhauled. I'll probably keep him around until I want Valkyr.
I keep volt around to speed run bosses and capture missions. I've done Jackal in 30 seconds thanks to lucky extraction placement.
I miss volts old chain lighning animation, the new one may be more functional but it doesnt feel as badass
Finally a Vauban systems alert pops up when I'm online. [T]http://cloud-3.steampowered.com/ugc/3282299796682987997/5B8ED2D9172944BF7ED4CF8D8182C424B1B1C1E8/[/T] I will be so mad if the frame turns out to be shit.
