We just had a member wipe. Besides, Max can get people in in his stead.
Also, has Legolas simply lost interest does he not have internet access? I forgot.

I just got one of these too, a shame it'll go to waste.
Anyhow, I'm trying to decide what will be the first warframe I grind my ass for, but I'm not sure what to pick. Any suggestions?

it depends on what your starter frame was. because if you picked the wrong starter frame you'd better go grind for Loki.
otherwise, whatever sounds interesting to you because the power balance isn't as extreme as people make it out to be.
except Loki. Loki is amazing. and the fastest.

First one I got after Excal was Frost. I wouldn't recommend him now though.
Honestly, I'd go for a Rhino.

loki is terrible
though I might actually potato him now, if only as a gimmicky melee 2.0 frame
Loki is only terrible if you don't know what you're doing with him
i have personally solo'd some of the most fucked up Tower III bullshit with my Loki
really though the same could be said for any frame. i've solo'd some terrible Tower III shit as Ash too, and everyone says he's a shit frame.
Ember is great and easy to get without a taxi.
Nyx is highly valued and pretty good. you'd need to wait for a phorid manifestation; but phorid is one of the fastest bosses to kill anyways.
frost is the highest valued frame for defence missions and despite ability 1 sucking; ability 2 and 3 more than make up for it. He's also one of the tankiest frames.

Wouldn't Ash make for a better Gimmicky Melee 2.0?
loki is terrible

Yes, being able to stay invisible 24/7 sure is useless
really though the same could be said for any frame. i've solo'd some terrible Tower III shit as Ash too, and everyone says he's a shit frame.
that's my whole point though, he isn't ~unplayable~, but he's sitting firmly at the lower end of the scale for usefulness
he has literally one solidly good ability, invisibility, and the rest all need tuning
Wouldn't Ash make for a better Gimmicky Melee 2.0?
probably, because of the tankiness, and his teleport and invisibility are better
but I think radial disarm will finally have some utility, and otherwise I might as well delete loki :v:
Yes, being able to stay invisible 24/7 sure is useless
ash does it better
man fuck everything, post edits make this too hard to keep up with
all I gotta say is I do have the OP frames like Nova and Rhino and I have all the OP mods for them, but I still prefer my Loki because i personally find his abilities easier to work with for my particular play style (and not just invisibility, getting disarmed enemies to crowd around my decoy and switch teleporting with my own decoys are some of my favourite tricks)
ash does it better
Good fucking god this is wrong.
Tenno, we are your reckoning. And Rhino isn't op, he's just properly balanced.
Rhino not OP? What?
[editline]7th April 2014[/editline]
Also, radial disarm is great since it permanently disables all enemies in its radius, reducing them to just a shitty Prova. Even Bombards and Napalms.
Loki is very good due to his access to radial disarm making shield lancers, bomards, napalms, techs, etc a complete non issue. He also just happens to be the fastest frame in the game, sport an ability that allows you to stay effective invurnerable and use melee weapons to their maximum potential as well as distract enemies with high priority distractions and the ability to teleport anywhere (sometimes saving missions where doorways bug out).
I would say he is one of the best warframes.
Tenno, we are your reckoning. And Rhino isn't op, he's just properly balanced.
Rhino Prime with the Vanguard helmet being the other fastest frame in the game with the skill set and base stats that he has is not what I would call properly balanced.
Honestly though that stupid fucking rat-looking helmet that every goddamn Rhino player uses now is the main thing that unbalances him.
We managed to kill the G3, get a bunch of awesome mods and then my game crashed and I lost everything.
Fml.
There are three types of player I look down on in warframe:
default helmet Excaliburs with bratons and lato.
soma users. (in low level games)
rhino users.

So basically, you hate new players, hardcore players, and people that play for fun.
Do you actually like anyone?
Rhino users with vanguard helmets using soma in mercury.
fixed
Also btw speed is pretty important for dodging stuff. Its the reason volt's crowd sprint is there. Being fast enough makes the corpus and infested laughable easy while you can also avoid missles and things from grineer. Using it to speed to the end of a level is dumb though. Unless you get that timer, and its rare outside of nightmare.
What's speed going to do? "Oh no, he's going to get to the extraction before me." Speed doesn't really have much use in Warframe, and even so, you can make up for speed by zorencoptering.
Speed lets you get in and out of firefights quickly and makes any weapon that has travel time like corpus lasers or bombard/napalm rockets pretty much impotent against you, and zoren-coptering in my experience is too touchy because if you screw up the timing just once you end up crouching there or slamming your axes into the floor like an idiot. plus it necessitates that you have zorens, which are largely useless damage-wise and are mostly only good for the "coptering" the spin attack grants you. fine if you're playing a gamemode where you just have to rush to extraction, but a hindrance if you actually have to kill the enemies like in survival or defence.
we'll see what melee 2.0 does to all this shit though, my commentary could become entirely irrelevant in a few days.
So basically, you hate new players, hardcore players, and people that play for fun.
Do you actually like anyone?
The Soma and Rhino users are justifiably hateable. They, along with Nova users, are endemic of everything wrong with the Warframe community. This idea of "Its all about just farming Wave 200 Xini, just gotta have the cheesiest weapons and Warframes." They're the ones who complain when DE tries to balance the damn game. They exacerbate the power creep by looking at every new weapon and Warframe and going "Not as good as Rhino/Nova/Soma/Galatine; mastery Fodder." They're responsible for the stupid obsession with Min/Maxing.
So yes, I hate them. They're the worst of the worst. And if you proliferate it, I hate you too.
You mean the frame where you pop invisibility and melee everything. That sounds pretty terrible and boring. Well you could use guns, but so could every other frame. Only difference would be you would be shooting sand bagged enemies with invisibility.
Pretty sure it costs more too, there isn't much of a difference between Ash and Loki's invisibility it'll cost you almost the same except recasting will be needed more often on Ash. Ash has my vote any day though since he's a lot cooler imo.
Pretty sure Loki's invisibility lasts longer...

There are three types of player I look down on in warframe:

This is dumb because you're bitching almost entirely about new players which is just a dickishly elitist thing to do. Another problem with the Warframe community.
You are just left wondering if you have killed enough bosses for him to show up.
And then he shows up and says that your crimes against J3-Golem will not be left unpunished.
I actually met Stalker last week, he said that i had to pay for killing Lephantis.
[SP]Killed Lephantis three times, in the begining of November last year :V[/SP]
Rhino isn't that cheesy for elitist end game, you are thinking of Excalibur, who has the potential to blind enemies for 30 seconds for under the cost of 50 energy (I forget how much). While with Rhino stomp, the stun and damage is not worth the energy usage.
You're forgetting Iron Skin, which is what most people care about with Rhino, which gives a not insignificant health buffer for very cheap.
It's not his Stomp that they are primarily concerned with, it's about being impervious to virtually everything.
Eh, we could argue about it day and night but in the end I don't think DE knows what the fuck they're doing when it comes to balance. My main issue with Rhino is the combination of Rhino Prime and the Vanguard Helmet, because it makes him literally tied for fastest frame in the game when I feel that lighter and more speed-specific frames like Ash should be faster. Rhino is advertised as a Rhino, not a bulletproof Ferrari, but that's what he's ended up as.
And for the record if, I really wanna cheese something then my go-to is Vauban. Bit of Power Efficiency, bit of Bastille, and everything can just go fuck itself.
PSA: You can't get knocked down or stunned while dodgerolling
