I'm enjoying the Lecta enough that I'm considering potatoing it.
Stat wise I've found it rather Meh-ish. Okay once you've put some time in it.
But god-damn if it ain't a fun weapon. Looking forward to seeing what Melee 2.0 does to it.
This update is gonna cause a return of so many weapons that people have put on ice, it's gonna be awesome!
Its the internet, people are determined to whack off to anything.
I don't mind that they whack off, but they could have the decency to whack off to canonical stuff.

Well sexualized warframes aren't much better.
What would you even call it? A fetish for suits of armor with boobs

For the parry animation I'm willing to place [del]money[/del] prime components on holding it close to the business end and twirl it about.

If we're going by canon, word of god is currently "they look like whatever you want, ~it is a mystery~"
Fuck the anime tenno fan art. Wish I could draw so I could make some creepy Geiger-esque tenno face and show folks how it's done.
I mean the void deformed, twisted, and afflicted the Tenno, they shouldn't look like fucking otaku wankbait.
isn't ember supposed to be a hideously burnt corpse under there?
isn't ember supposed to be a hideously burnt corpse under there?
Nah, Kaleen was someone who encountered babby Ember, with predictable results.
Tennos are sexy skeleboners inside high tech space aids suits.

We've been over this.
The Tenno are koi.
I really hate all the fan art of the female frames without their masks being gorgeous and shit. The Tenno are Wearing suits made out of a disease! Not only that, but they probably can't even speak due to extensive enhancements, or if they can speak at all, it would sound very much like a bamboo shoot in a blender(using Rhino's extremely distorted roar as reference). I should just stay away from the warframe forums.
Based on what? They give really no indication, and the Tenno in the Cryopods look perfectly normally. This is just as bad as the people fetishsizing them as buxom and chiseled beauties.

it stands to reason though? they are literally mutated by the technocyte plague just like the infested, the only difference is they haven't lost their minds completely
one of the codex entries even calls them 'twisted'
also, naked-nick and friends aren't the same as the tenno we play, it's not like they just take off the oculus rift and jump into a warframe, it's not even confirmed that they are tenno rather than just tenno sympathisers or lotus' hired goons
I mean the void deformed, twisted, and afflicted the Tenno, they shouldn't look like fucking otaku wankbait.
Not really. By what is said, it seems more that it just gave them uncontrollable power, and the Warframe are used to focus that. In fact, I'm pretty sure the Warframes are described pretty much exactly as focuses. And Kaleen seems to indicate that the kids were normal, at least until Ember burned the fuck out of her. She indicates nothing wrong with them outwardly, just that "They were children. They were afraid. They needed comfort."
I'm pretty sure if they had been horrific monstrosities she'd have been like "They were malformed and mutated."
Excalibur entry talks about them being twisted, but when you see it refer to the Warframe as "a conduit of their affliction" it would more indicate that they aren't referring to them being deformed or anything, but that they had these unreal powers that defy scientific explanation like the void itself "where our science and reason failed."
it stands to reason though? they are literally mutated by the technocyte plague just like the infested, the only difference is they haven't lost their minds completely
No, they're not. They were affected by the Void. The Technocyte is what the suit is made from.

It seems like some people just want to fetishize them as these horrific monsters just like some people want to fetishize them as Waifus.
Gee I wonder why do people draw sexualized fanart of female frames. Surely not because most of them look quite attractive in their tight rubbery looking suits. I also recommend checking out Ember's idle animation with Noble animation set and akimbo pistols.
they said we could imagine whatever we want under the masks
if some people want to imagine beautiful people under the masks let them
if some people want to imagine mutated people under the masks let them
stop fighting over things there's no reason to fight over
I imagine that underneath the Warframes there isn't shit, if there ever was people underneath they're probably long gone after going through the mutations etc.
To me it makes sense that the skin of the warframes is actually the warframe itself.
and i imagine overly sexualized uguu kawaii otaku wankbait with eyes big as saucers
and ember has a penis
warfrayment green is people
I imagine them as quite hideously deformed by the technocyte virus and exposure to the void, personally. Or if not hideously, then something fairly inhuman that shares only the general shape of a human.
Alternate theory (And boy do I have a tonne of these)
The Tenno and Warframes are not the same thing.
The warframe is a construct, a semi autonomous entity that was constructed via orokin tech, blah blah blah, void mutations, blah blah, technocyte, blah, blah nanopotatoes. The war-frame containing an aspect of personality based on how it was built.
The TENNO is the cognitive aspect, I.E the player, the Tenno controls the warframe remotely. This is why the same Tenno may use several warframes.
Warframe are robot-cyborg things the Tenno are it master server.
There is no face under a warframe, just a network of neural circuitry that contains personality traces off whomever it was modelled on and how it was built.
But of course this is just a theory.
It just dawned on me that the reason Warframe had me at hello are its similarities with Tsutomu Nihei's works.

Also, remember, Tenno bleed. And many characters make explicit mention that you have organic bits inside.
and ember has a penis
This is one of the top reasons why I like silent protagonists without personality, you can imagine them how ever you desire to because no one knows the right answer.

The only Exception is Valkyr, who is voiced by [del]Rebecca[/del] Megan and fuelled by the collective anguish at how dumb the DE forums can be sometimes.
I imagine them as quite hideously deformed by the technocyte virus and exposure to the void, personally. Or if not hideously, then something fairly inhuman that shares only the general shape of a human.
There is genuinely no indication that they are. Kaleen regards them as being outwardly normal, and the "twisted" line from Excalibur's Codex seems more to reference them having unreal powers, hence why it refers to the Warframe itself, which again is well established in the existing lore to just be armor, as "a conduit of their affliction".
There is no explicit mention of the Tenno being infected with the Technocyte.
("Ohh, but J3-Golem!" Yeah, he says more than just that one line, which more indicates he's talking about the host the infested is attached to, not the infested itself.)

Yeah, the similarities to Blame! and Biomega haven't eluded me. When I described it to a friend it was "The works of Tsutomu Nihei crossed with Dune", I think. (Phrasing is off, Mericet might remember)

You mean except for it being tied to Dark Sector and Hayden Tenno who was mutated by the Technocyte virus? And the Proto-Excalibur Skin which seems to hint at mutations more than it does a proper Warframe suit containing the Tenno within?
