You mean except for it being tied to Dark Sector and Hayden Tenno who was mutated by the Technocyte virus? And the Proto-Excalibur Skin which seems to hint at mutations more than it does a proper Warframe suit containing the Tenno within?
Hayden Tenno also remained largely human first of all. Second, there is no direct connection to Hayden Tenno other than in name. Third, the Proto-Excalibur Suit was literally just that, a suit of armor. Because the Nemesis suit was the same, but it's wearer would take it off and on and it's wearer was perfectly human in appearance without it. Fourth, there in general is no direct, canon connection between the two. The Glaive and the Proto-Excalibur suit both are those used by Hayden Tenno, but they are not direct connections at this time. They even said this a couple of lives streams ago, there is no connection between the games at this time. All that we know is that what happened to the Tenno happened because of the Void.
Also didn't Ruk or someone say that tenno were eyeless? I guess he could have just been talking about the armor.
Im curious.
Due to the fact that Valkyr and Nova were created in this current time. Nova by the Lotus and Valkyr by Zanuka.
Does that mean there will be no Nova Prime or Valkyr Prime? Wouldn't make a lot of sense if there was.
Also didn't Ruk or someone say that tenno were eyeless? I guess he could have just been talking about the armor.
Alad did.
Tenno, you know, we may not always see eye to eye... well, you don't have eyes but I'm pleased to see we've found common ground in our fight with these Grineer dogs.
So...yeah. I'd think of all people Alad V would know we dont have eyes. So Kawaii anime waifus inside the suit is out unfortunately.
Let me make it clearer; This is the person inside the Nemesis suit.
So you tell me. Do you have to be a horrible mutant to use the suits?
They have said on livestream that there is no canon between Dark Sector and Warframe.
I think it was Livestream 25. Its all purely reference.

Take generic anime girl and remove eyes with just skin, that is pretty metal looking being.

Or just any human instead of anime chars.

Maybe we have Neural Sensors?
Maybe we're Kawaii anime waifus with these protruding from our eye sockets.
Yeah, the similarities to Blame! and Biomega haven't eluded me. When I described it to a friend it was "The works of Tsutomu Nihei crossed with Dune", I think. (Phrasing is off, Mericet might remember)

OT, but as a decade-long fan, Knights of Sidonia was an immense disappointment.
no Valkyr Prime?
I'd love to see Valkyr have a crown formed out of Orokin shiny parts. And bigass shiny claws.
The question of if the Tenno have eyes is a good one, because a few characters mention them not having eyes, but I also recall one of them specifically saying that they do. It seems to be more a reference to the fact none of the Warframes actually have eyes (though some have things that that could be seen as "eyes".) The Neural Sensors are almost certainly part of the control function for the Warframe itself, along with allowing the Tenno inside to see out through sensors or optics in the suit itself.
Interestingly, as the wiki points out, Neural Sensors have the Grineer Emblem on them, which is weird as hell.

I thought it was because the images for them and neurodes were mixed around.

Yeah, Tenno designs are based off of Orokin tech, but only prime items are actually made from it, standard tenno frames and weapons are adaptations and refits that can be made with what they have available to them, so it must be easier for them to steal parts from the grineer than make their own and designed things with that in mind.

Is Prime equipment supposed to be like, specific , improved designs created by the Orokin or is it supposed to be where the Tenno are taking knowledge learned from the Towers and using it to improve on the designs of their equipment?
Because if its the former, that means there can never be a Valkyr Prime, and likely never a Nova Prime or Zephyr Prime (which makes me sad, I want a Zephyr Prime).
I always just assumed the crafting recipes were more game than story
I always just assumed the crafting recipes were more game than story
There is still the question of how a Prime variant comes to be. Is it something dating back to the Orokin time, or is it a modern adaptation of Orokin technology?
There is still the question of how a Prime variant comes to be. Is it something dating back to the Orokin time, or is it a modern adaptation of Orokin technology?
Pretty sure it is meant to be the Ceremonial Warframe suits dating back from the Orokin times and the war with the Sentients. Probably why it resonates with Orokin defences (Such as the ball traps), was meant to give Tenno defending the Towers from the Sentients a power boost should the Sentients ever actually breach them.
Also, there could be a Valkyr Prime, it'd just be whatever her body was before Alad V got his hands on her and started peeling her apart (The implications of her basic helmet are quite unpleasant)
Also, there could be a Valkyr Prime, it'd just be whatever her body was before Alad V got his hands on her and started peeling her apart (The implications of her basic helmet are quite unpleasant)
How? Valkyr was an entirely different Warframe before, and how she is now and what she does is a result of what Alad V did to her.

Well, we've already discussed that the Warframes just focus their powers, their abilities are actually inherent to the Tenno inside. So it could just be Valkyr-Tenno inside her Orokin/Prime Suit.
So either Alad created a Tenno (Highly unlikely, or we'd be fighting Corpus ones. Although, there is that possible Corpus Assassin unit coming in the future...), or Valkyr's abilities were pretty similar to the ones she has now, just without the pain and rage.
Theoretically there could be a Valkyr Prime, but they've got one heck of a backlog of Warframes to Prime first, and there fast approaching a problem with where to put them all.

But that still leaves questions of Nova and Zephyr, since they seem to be modern designs, though there is still a fair bit of information missing on them as a whole.

Well, Nova's description says that the Tenno High Council ordered her created, it doesn't say if that was modern or something dating from the time of the Orokin.
We lack a lot of information on the newer frames, though.
And nah, I think the Warframe abilities are specific based on how the Technocyte virus affected them, so I can't imagine that being the case. I imagine she was kind of a close combat frame to begin with, probably instead of using her fists (as in Hysteria) she used blades or was able to create some with her old warframe (Wrist blades or something), but because of Alad taking her apart, she became much more rage/pain fuelled and less able to control/project her abilities.
Actually, you could also theorize that the Tenno just contain raw power, and that the Warframe itself is what focuses it in to different abilities. So in theory the Tenno inside any given Ember Warframe could leave it and don a Banshee Warframe or Zephyr or whatever and use its powers just the same. Hmm.

Probably, but then again the frames are shaped and made different based on their abilities making them more efficient.
And nah, I think the Warframe abilities are specific based on how the Technocyte virus affected them, so I can't imagine that being the case.
Again, they got their powers from the Void, not the Technocyte Virus.

Ember's codex entry would contradict that. I very much doubt Ember-child was in her suit when she burned Kaleen.
Probably, but then again the frames are shaped and made different based on their abilities making them more efficient.
Well yeah, but that doesn't negate the theory, or really change it at all. That's just more a comment on "They look like they function."
Well yeah, but that doesn't negate the theory, or really change it at all. That's just more a comment on "They look like they function."
It is like using a wrench to hammer a nail instead of a hammer, both work but the hammer was made for that.

Ah, right. I understand what you mean now. Sorry, I misunderstood your argument.
No, you're right, it might theoretically be possible but I imagine each suit is tailored to augment the abilities of the specific Tenno. Otherwise why bother making so many different Frames?
Ember's codex entry would contradict that. I very much doubt Ember-child was in her suit when she burned Kaleen.
If you're talking about a child that has no control over their power, it can literally just be a burst of power taking a random form. It could have resulted in her being encased in ice or nuked or whatever.
