No. That's a... thing.

Seems that a human could fit into that frame. And fit a lunch box into the empty space left in the helmet.

Waifu, I knew our love wouldn't have been miscegenous!
[editline]9th April 2014[/editline]
Tbh this shows DE's lack of respect for anatomy's proper sizes more than anything.
So, they've announced that they're scrambling to finish it before midnight tonight, makes me wonder, how could they possibly think that it would have been ready last week?
Do Vauban next, I want to see if it can live up to this:
tbh i think a lore line saying the tenno are mutants is slightly better evidence than a character model from a different game
Especially because Excalibur's codex entry explicitly calls them "twisted" and that they have an "affliction".
the tenno could just be fluid for all we know.
Literally walking Koi ponds.

yes. YES. YES.
you know that really weird picture of a human nervous system and brain minus the rest of the body
maybe tenno are just that, the frame mutating and absorbing everything else

Well presumably everything was fine before whatever happened to cause the delay happened.

The bug triage is likely all the stuff that effects cause by the melee attacks themselves. Geoff was saying there were some physics manager-handled stuff that made parrying super OP in its current form, because the skeletons for most of the characters are rigged with roughly the same constraints and weighting, so the whatever impulse effect or animation state was was super strong and would interrupt almost any state the enemy could be in.
Then there's knocking guys into terrain you can't reach, and making sure multiple melee states don't overlap esp with four tenno spamming them in an instance, making sure the code from host to clients matches the animations, making sure energy and xp modifiers are stable and consistent blah blah blah
and of course, just like every other update shit will still be hella broke in way they haven't even thought of yet when spammy players get all over it with their dirty unwashed grubby paws, and of course one of the mods will break the entire damage balance etc etc etc etc

Man, wish there was a skin to remove all that bullshit fluff. That looks cool!
Seeing as we're throwing theories around, I'ma join in:
Nature of the Tenno:-
As has been noted, warframes don't seem to make sense as armour; The helmets are too small for human heads, and the proportions veer away (often drastically) from standard human anatomy. The explanation proposed by some in this thread is that each suit is customised for the unique deformities of the individual Tenno, thus explaining Nova's neck, Nekros' skeletal build, Oberon's skinny arms, and so on. However, this doesn't hold up under one very consistent aspect of the game; no matter what frame you're in, you're always the same Tenno. Bosses refer to you by the same name regardless of what frame you're wearing, a deathmark earned by you as a Rhino will still apply when you're playing Mag, and the upcoming focus system has been stated by Steve to be all about "upgrading your Tenno". Your warframes very clearly haven't been built to accommodate your unique deformities, as you can quite happily fit into a huge variety of different shapes and make use of a wide variety of powers. My guess is that what Mynki was referring to with regards to making each frame unique was less to do with lore and more to do with design; stranger, more unconventional designs tend to stick in the mind, while characters designed overtly to be "cool" (e.g. Gears of War) are easily forgotten. [sp]There's an interesting blog post by Matt Rhodes about the design process he went through for Cerberus troops in ME3; while conventional sci fi seemed to win out in the final game, he deliberately made a lot of his concepts outright goofy looking to exploit this.[/sp]
Therefore, I see the Tenno as being uploaded minds (or souls, depending on how the void works); their ability to switch bodies so easily is due to them not having a fixed physical form. A warframe is less a suit of armour, and more a bipedal platform which the uploaded Tenno can channel their energies through. With this in mind I imagine that what's under the helmet is simply more biotech machinery, perhaps with the only vaguely human part of the "face" being a mouth to allow for vocalisation (seeing as Valkyr is capable of making very human sounding screams).
I never liked those huge bulks on her armor anyway
When will it be 12pm in Canada in GMT?
It's 5:40pm in EST right now.
Kinda wish they did alt "greeble" for all the frames.

I think they're on EDT, so 5AM, I think?

4am GMT, 5am BST.

Also there seems to be a direct relationship with weapon handling skills and reduction of the nose area. Not much use for smell in space I suppose.
please post these on the forums but say they were extracted from the game files

So organic geth.
Crafted like 13 melees cause M2.0, i do hope the special alert melees (Dark sword/dagger, jaw sword, plasma sword, etc.) get special stats/combos.

Unfortunately The vaubot's helmets are all so massive that heads fit in them, but here is a consolation prize

Oddly enough, that trim on the faceplate could hold a large beard, as the photo suggests.
So organic geth.
Without the hivemind or gestalt consciousness aspects, yeah. A better analogy would be full cyborgs in Ghost in the Shell; the only part of you that is truly "you" is your brain, while your body can be switched around with relative ease.

Well, weirdly enough, the new frame has visible eye holes, and an eye patch.
Well, weirdly enough, the new frame has visible eye holes, and an eye patch.
Those don't necessarily mean eyes though. All the helmets have weird stylistic elements. His could be eye holes so that he can get an eyepatch.
Because he's a pirate frame, see?
