this was my theory, which would explain why you sort of 'plug in' to the ship after a mission (and then do all your star map and inventory stuff as well as the mastery tests in this virtual reality type place)

I will admit that on more than one occasion, I've said "Seni Soshitsu!" to myself when I kill an enemy with Dakra's slide attack.
