I wonder if we will be able to move rooms around freely once built. Like if we want to slap corridors inbetween and such.

Actually they threw around "event exclusive" a few times here and there so it was safer to bet it would be.. well exclusive.
I honestly couldn't care less, if anything it's a good thing, if you missed it and you really want to get your hands on it you can which is always good, I'm simply not a huge fan of saying one thing and doing another without even announcing it.
Like taking down the Snipetron, they could've told us they were going to take it down before hand so if you wanted it you had a chance to get it.
I think We'll be able to craft the snipetron from the dojo.

I got a Forma as my login reward, so yeah we can plonk that down somewhere.

I suspect the research labs will be the priority, but as more info is found about them, we may find we don't need all 3 initially

Actually you know what would be cool? A public dojo, sort of a hub, where anyone can go to just go and show how cool they are. Extra Sweet Points if it's also expandable for an absolutely massive resource cost, but the pool is global.
Though that would probably turn it into a multiplayer city manager
