alot of people will dislike Call of Duty, just because it's Call of Duty.
It's not just CoD either, a lot of people don't get that not every game is catered for them as a market. If you don't like CoD they're not necessarily bad games but just not "your kind" of game. If CoD was so bad it wouldn't keep being one of the most popular games in the world. I just can't imagine getting actually mad at a video game for being made for a market that isn't you.
So I was thinking of revisiting some of the old CODs multiplayers but on consoles since the PC versions generally have lower playercounts, does either the consoles have bad versions of the games and generally lower playercounts or are they both about the same in both regards?
xbox still has plenty of cod4 players, cod5 is dead, mw2 is always popular, same with black ops.
You just have to remember that hackers are pretty rampant in the older CoD's. I don't know how bad the situation is now but the last time i played 4 and World at War, i just kept running into modded lobbies.
And i don't know about MW2, chances are it's the same situation.
you also have to remember that for some reason all the old cod's mp get fucked and you can't even join a match. also, hackers.
Do enough people play MW2 on PC that I should buy it?
Get it on PS3 or 360 if you can. It's hard to get into a lobby that isn't modded.

yeah, exactly this. while I myself absolutely hate CoD because of its horrible businesslike approach to everything thanks to activision maximizing profits off of every little thing, it's popular for a reason
I have no interest in AW, especially because Ghosts was the biggest waste of money I think I've ever spent on a triple-A title on the computer and has absolutely no support for it whatsoever (and no anti-cheat to boot) but I'm glad it's at least taking a different approach than the previous games which are just map remakes and gun retextures
chances are though activision will continue to screw over the casual PC market by never providing updates unless you have to pay for them so I have no reason to ever pick up another CoD title

and they foRGOT TO PUT IT IN VOTING POOLS
AW coop mode, and other stuff

so basically mw3's coop mode
meh, could be nice enough if they put in enough extra stuff
I'm just glad it isn't zombies or aliens.
as long as it isn't a "fight through this wave, do this objective" like extinction and zombies were it should be aight
though i wouldnt mind a return to the good ol' spec ops days where it was just two people.
I played more Survival on MW3 than Zombies and Aliens. It's not much saying this but it was better than the multiplayer.
I just hope the unlocks aren't separate like MW3. Exo-Survival might be good for all we know, or at least decent. I think one of my complaints about MW3's survival was the 2 player count.
Still, 4 play survival co-op with exo-suits and other cool gadgets is neat IMO.
I have to say, there's one thing they still can't do, and that's facial expressions, Kevin Spacey's expression in that trailer when he says, "On my authority!", it looks so dull, like there doesn't seem to be any proper anger or anything behind his voice, nothing that brings any impact to what he's saying, he's just a wide eyed blank look.

I can't imagine how laggy it must be playing that game.

Its amazing how they can't do that. Even games like Half-Life on the PS2 could still do facial animations. Despite only having a handful of facial nodes/bones (left/right and middle eyebrow, eyelids and eyeballs, one mouth part that went up and down). Facial animations are pretty much standard now, so it amazes me how they somehow have less emotion than anything ever.
I stopped playing call of duty back at the start of the year when my live ran out and I didn't want to get it again. My brother got live to play destiny (he hasn't touched the game) so I get to play call of duty again.
after a week or 2 of playing black ops 2 I decided to put ghosts in my xbox to find out why I didn't like it. The gameplay is way better than older call of duty games, the shooting feels better, the movement feels better, the interface looks nice, the perk system is awesome. I think I put too much blind hate into this game because the only issues I've found with it are the maps are way to fucking big and most of the guns are pointless because theres only like 3 good weapons.

The face looks fine, actually. I think the problem is that the rest of his body doesn't move with the emotion.
There's no agressive forward step, not even a little bit of head bobbing.
Just angryface.
Just picked up a copy of World at War for like $13 for PC. Anybody in Aus/NZ interested in playing something?

I have WaW on PC, but I don't have any of the map packs so I get kicked from lobbies.
[editline]6th October 2014[/editline]
wait thats the xbox version, I can play on PC just fine.
Preordered AW.
Good for you.
Apparently zombies have been confirmed with this image leaked by Michael Condray.
