My advantage is speed in covering of space between me and a guy with a BAL, closer you get, harder it's gonna be for him to finish you off, since you practically shoot from every corner around him.
Soo it's a fair trade, you can be scoopin your enemy at moderate distance but once you get a red baron spewing bullets all around you, it's over.

I use that same class setup, just with other SMG's, the AK-12, and the energy shotgun and I do just fine. Very rarely do I end up where I'm shooting at someone ADS at mid to long range, and if I am, then I'm doing something wrong. What I should be doing is moving around at the speed of sound, slamming down on people and sliding my gun barrel into their groins.

Because there is a lag already in the game, with lan its not noticeable obviously, but the lag is around say .4 seconds. The TTK is 1 second, that is .6~ seconds of TTK to the person being shot at online. i have had plenty of times where i thought i got shot once on my screen, but the kill cam shows me getting hit 5 times. Combine that with amazing hipfire accuracy, little recoil ADS, and large mag size and you have basically the famas from blops 1. The HBR is practically the Galil from blops 1, same thing with more power but lower ROF. Both of these guns completely make almost every other gun bar the snipers/shotguns completely useless since the those two can be used in every role easily. The only real smgs that work decently are the dual ones and the first one you get and the third.
Before you say "well buff the other guns instead" then you have another COD: ghosts where every fucking gun kills you in 1 second no matter what. Want to nerf the bal? make it have a ton more recoil like a rapid weapon should with lower damage, HBR can keep the damage but decrease the hipfire accuracy and make it have a lower magazine.
I've been playing Cod since 3 and this has been the most refreshing and fun, but those two weapons are completely broken and make the other cool weapons just gimmicks that look cool but under perform to those two.
Yeah, a lot of the time I'm dead the second someone sees me.
Yeah the absurdly low TTK's aren't helped by the fact that what you are seeing on your screen and what your killer sees on his screen is several hundred milliseconds apart.
If I'm shot instantly rounding a corner then see the killcam showing me already around the corner and already being shot at there isn't much "git gudder" I can be.

BAL is just as good or even better as the dual smgs. It has about the same fire rate and damage, but you can ADS for range. The speed penalty is extremely minuscule when you compare smgs to ARs like 5% I think which is laughable if you think that is a real advantage.
trust me, the dual smgs are good and fun as hell, but i can do way better if i do the same build you have there with the BAL instead.

I think in regular modes they should buff health, it feels fairly close to hardcore health.

im running around with an all explosive setup, using the last smg you get that i have a variant that comes with a noobtube attached, the havoc, two grenades, and a rocket launcher sentry. I ran into a whole clan of dropshotting people who used the BAL, so would fly around the map shitting explosions everywhere.
btw, dangerclose perk turns the missile strike into the old predator missile from MW2 as in mini nuke with ungodly radius.
