I just found an awesome glitch. So, I prestiged, but I had all the headshot challenges for my BAL already. Upon prestiging, I lost them. but ever headshot I've gotten in this match has been an entire challenge. I went from level 1-11 :v: [editline]15th November 2014[/editline] Correction, Level 1-12

God damn I just went 28 to 4 I got the first 9 kills in my first life with the asm1 competence, the rest with a arx I picked off a dead guy. After my first death I then proceeded to die 3 more times with no other kills until the round ended.

is there anything you can do to get specific gear? or is it just all completely random? i've seen assassin gear a lot, is that linked to challenges?

You get the campaign gear by finishing those challenges that come along with each mission.
