I take it you've managed to get it. Congratulations!
Its now my main objective to get master killer before the end of the week.
I don't need much either, just feed greed.

I'm doing something
A bad player will say an obstacle is cheap. A good player will ask "How can I beat this?".
Made fun of someone calling shotguns cheap today. Was good times.

But shotguns are quite cheap to a certain extent. An R870 can dominate small indoor areas or just small maps in general. There are ways to counter it, I know, but seriously 9 times out of 10 if you're face to face with a shotgun, you're outright screwed.
So I finished Blops 2, and holy shit I didn't expect it to be so good.

a good player can also say things are cheap, lol

Yeah, what I said was quite generic.
My argument could probably be applied to any weapon category.
Yeah, what I said was quite generic.

Yeah it could. People just rant about shotguns because they hate dying to them, but ignore the fact that they are 100% totally useless at range (to a certain extent) while other weapons can be effective at any range (also to a certain extent depending on the weapon).

its really fun, the custom loadout system adds a lot more replayability to it. i just wish some of the challenges werent so hard

shotguns themselves arent annoying, its the map design that makes them annoying. most of the time i get insta-gunned by a remmington because i just turned a corner that leads to a tight corridor

But you don't count the times that you shot someone across the way and they could do nothing back because they had a shotgun and you had a ranged weapon. And with the game as it is, even them running away round a corner doesn't mean that you won't kill them anyway.
Shotguns aren't consistent at all anyway, if the game's in your favour or the shotgunner's aim is terrible you still have an opportunity to kill them before they can get their second shot off if you're on the ball (and the connection likes you). They're not the 'I win' button that people make them out to be, and rely more on the player's ability to move around the map intelligently than their ability to aim precisely.
The reason shotguns are annoying isn't because they are overpowered, it's because they are far too easy to use. You're trying to disprove a point that nobody made in the first place.

personally i'd say smgs are easier to use than shotguns, they have a constant spray while shotguns (some of them) have a pause between shots and can jam if you spam it
Anyone tried LSAT with Quickdraw, Stock and Target Finder?
The last time I used it was like a Mini Death Machine

It just steams my beans when a weapon class is described as being used by 'stupid' people (except snipers, fuck those guys). The shotguns aren't any harder or easier to use than any of the other weapons in the game, for an example I'd say that the KSG is harder to use than 90% of the other weapons.

The KSG is obviously an exception and you know it.
Shotguns are much easier to use than the rest of the weapons, it's a fact. You don't have to be aiming at someone to kill them but just look in their general direction.
The #1 thing I die to is fucking shotguns.
They have more range than you think, especially with long barrel.

Ok, KSG excluded then. The effectiveness of shotguns is directly related to the connection at the time, they have one small moment to kill someone before being gunned down. You don't need to aim with SMGs at all to get kills with them, they are so so easy to use, even at close range. ADS'ing with a shotgun requires as much aim as it does with any other weapon; not having your crosshair lined up with the enemy will, for the majority of times, mean that you will not kill them, at least before they murderfy you.
If you're in a close-quarters situation against a guy with a shotgun, can you say with certainty that they would not have killed you if they had been using any other weapon? Disregarding campers, that is, since their aim is typically terrible anyway. Shotgun's are effective as close range, yes, but they aren't overly easy to use nor more successful than any SMG.
[editline]7th May 2013[/editline]
I'll admit that they're easy to use in the manner that you have to work out how to take one shot and if you fuck up then you're dead, compared to having to strafe or account for enemies' movement when shooting, but that's about it.

>You don't need to aim with SMGs at all to get kills with them
That's stupidly wrong
>ADS'ing with a shotgun requires as much aim as it does with any other weapon
Not only is that wrong, it's also absolutely irrelevant because nobody in their right mind aims down the sights of a shotgun
>they aren't overly easy to use nor more successful than any SMG
once again, you're arguing the wrong issue. They are overly easy to use, but no one ever said they were better than SMGs.

I do disagree with you wholeheartedly, but hey ho. Arguing about it won't change anything, you think your thing and I think mine.

What's the point in Quickdraw if you're using Stock? The whole point of Stock is to be aiming down the sights for a long period of time, using Quickdraw seems pointless for this since you'll only be lifting the gun up every now and then.

Because if you're like me most of the time you only sight in when you fire and never really any other time. Obviously with LMGs it takes longer to sight up than any other weapons. I typically always have stock + quickdraw just so I can maximum mobility because really the sights and all of the other additions don't really add much to the machineguns
also to add: quickdraw decreases the time it takes to sight up whereas the stock allows for you to move more quickly with the sights up. It's not spot-on but when you combine both the LMGs practically turn in to a 100 round SMG

Because LMGs go slow as fuck even with stock so you'll have to stop aiming to move

I'm doing the campaign mission where you attack the server room. I replicated my primary kit from multiplayer and it felt so badass when the multiplayer menu music kicked in for one of the fights. Everyone is dead!
fuck, me and my friends almost did the easter egg on mob of the dead, got to the 3rd cycle, I zap the number input thing and it breaks.
Could only change the 3rd number in multiples of 2, tried numerous things and then we gave up.

Fair enough, I'm trying it out on the HAMR now.
[editline]8th May 2013[/editline]
Alright I went 34 - 5 using Quickdraw, Stock and Extended Mags on the HAMR, I think it's good then.
Anyone having trouble learning any specific weapons? I'm in a research-y mood.
Some dude said I'm "as useful as a cock flavored lollipop" in a match.
