[QUOTE=Chewybar2;40752573]Next-gen lol there is nothing next-gen about CoD, unless you know they add vehicles and better weapons then that will be next-gen.[/QUOTE]
So, Next-Gen = Vehicles? Lol k.

Finally able to vote on the upcoming personalization packs, I voted for Cyborg, chances are that and Comic will be the ones to be release, I think Cyborg was on like, 38% of the total votes and Comic on 30 something too.
I dont like vehicles in cod anyways
if I want vehicles, id play battlefield
[QUOTE=Generic Monk;40752038]why would you own a pc that can't run a 6 year old game that wasn't demanding on release
why would you compromise any hint of artistry in the game to make it more 'competitive'
[editline]23rd May 2013[/editline]
i haven't played any of those games
why would i deliberately turn the graphics down when any pc post 2007 can run these games on max?
[editline]23rd May 2013[/editline]
why would i want less detail
[editline]23rd May 2013[/editline]
i don't care about my k/d etc, why is it important?[/QUOTE]
Some people enjoy improving and being competitive? That's like asking why people want to win in sports and being confused when people don't just want to toss balls to each other.
[QUOTE=Sgt. Nikolai;40754428]1 hit kills by shotgun.

What do you expect a shotgun to do to someone?
[QUOTE=Sgt. Nikolai;40753441]Vehicles aren't possible in CoD. They don't fit in gameplay
It's a full infantry game, about doing kills and keep killing (Scorestreaks are made to help you killing even more players)
Battlefield have bigger maps, and manages a different gameplay.
Vehicles are used in Battlefield to advance where the infantry can't.
Maps in CoD are desinged for walking and moving trought corridors and obstacles.
Technically, vehicles cannot enter in the small place.
Vehicles can also be abused by people, used to grief other players (putting it on walkways to prevent people from enter), etc.[/QUOTE]
Call of Duty is arcadey. It's not meant to be "real", it's meant to look real while being a video game.
[QUOTE=Wormy;40756028]I personally enjoyed the vehicles in CoD 3.[/QUOTE]
CoD3 was underrated
Yeah, I said, wanna fight?

Can you still get online games? I might have to try it again if I can find the disk.

So i've just bought Call of duty Black ops 2.
And i've actually never played MP that much...
I had other COD games like 1, 2,4, World at war, modern warfare 2 etc. But mostly zombie mode and singleplayer.
Now i'm really getting beaten up on multiplayer and everyone is spraying with their machine guns and doing jumps and prones around me. Now i had a round that i was stupid enough (probably) to choose a crossbow! Because nobody uses a crossbow on Free-For-All mode. So i just had to do it and i was really screwed that way. I couldn't almost hit anyone with it and sucked big time.
Now what i'm going to ask is that i really need some help/advice.
What is the best thing to do on a free-for-all mode?
I've won once by using the r870mcs shotgun for 30 kills in a round.

you'll want to flank and stand your ground rather than camp, people will usually spawn behind or near you after you kill them, so its a good idea to stay frosty and make sure you get the first shot
suppressors will help you stay off the radar as well

Ok more seriously:
Don't run around too much. As a matter of fact avoid running as much as possible, because you will be able to shoot instantly instead of having to stop sprinting.
Controlling a small zone is better than being all around the map. Go somewhere you know well and can control the access to. Not one single room, but like, a quarter of the map where you know all the ways people go.
People should come to you, not the other way around. It's much easier to win gunfights this way.
Abuse headglitch spots, of course.
As Mario said, a silencer (and possibly Ghost) will help you stay alive longer.
Use low scorestreaks. UAV and CUAV are probably the best ones to use in FFA. I'd recommend against lethal scorestreaks (hunter killer maybe for a free kill or two) and care packages.
[editline]24th May 2013[/editline]
FFA is all about gunfights. So Toughness is a must, I think.
Lightweight and Extreme Conditioning aren't needeed, this game mode isn't about moving. Go for Flak Jacket if you want to go on very long streaks.
I like to use Dexterity and Tactical Mask to ensure I won't get in a gunfight with some kind of disadvantage. You can forego Dexterity if you don't run a lot. Engineer can be good to stay clear of campers and their equipment.
Don't confront campers. If a guy is looking at a doorway behind a headglitch spot, don't go in there, no matter how much you think you can kill him. Either go around, or just leave him alone and go somewhere else.

I'm just elaborating on Mario's answer :v:

It's all about map awareness really. This comes with experience for the most part

I dont follow any of this except tac mask. lol
Also I'd say the whole silencer thing needs to be considered based off how the other players are. If they are super aggressive I usually don't bother with the silencer, because it's not going to matter much anyways. Depends on the map as well.
Also, learn gun sounds at close, and long range. If you hear a gun go off around you, factor what you hear into what your next move will be. Fast ROF sound? keep a distance, but move sporadically. Low pounding? Get in closer, move quick. This is all based off the gun you are holding obviously, but this is based off me using the axes.

i liked it
it felt like battlefield and call of duty had a little baby, but call of duty was the one with the dominant genes so it was very codlike. none of my friends liked it though.

You're a fucking weirdo is what it is
[editline]24th May 2013[/editline]
But yeah, your playstyle is obviously very different. You're not trying to win gunfights, you're using one hit kill weapons and running all over the place. My advice is for the average, non-crazy player who can't do across the map triple bankshots :v:
What If you could destroy an EMP.
Someone takes out the controll to detonate the EMP and then you use your EMP.
You destroyed his control so he lost the EMP.
"EMP Destroyed"
wat

thatd be somewhat more realistic though. cant have that. not in cod. what about the fact that your EMP doesnt diable your own systems? I guess you could argue that in the future EMPs can select one particular group to affect i guess? Like both sides having different tech, blah blah future magic.
hey guys what dog perks are you looking forward to in ghosts?
one i most want to see is care package, it drops a box of scooby snacks and grooming equipment near your dog's current location

i'm looking forward to doing a dog only run of the campaign on 'lassie', the new hardest difficulty
Is there a perk for that?
nah there's a special achievement for it

there's also a secret minigame similar to GTA's hot coffee where you play as a dog in the act of breeding
it's called
dogging
They should add a game mode called Deploy
There is no purpose or goal in this game mode.
You have a large amount of time to do anything, killing players, getting, score, etc.
There is no "Win" or " Lose".
