i did, several times.
none of those locations i mentioned are visited in the campaign, which is my main point, being that barely any of the multiplayer maps are based off the actual campaign.
shit, they do it with almost every cod game. also, remind me of the winter part of bo2 again, because i missed where the ski resort map comes into play.
and yes i know several of the MP maps were used as strike force missions. that was neat, but there are still plenty of maps outside of those that have no relevance to the story.
drone, cargo, overflow, and yemen. that's it. unless we count carrier, seeing as how you were on the obama that could merely be another ship in the fleet or something.

out of the base rotation
there are 14 maps (not counting nuketown 2025 since it was technically dlc)
4 of them are strike force missions, as i noted before.
now, if we're to go by maps that are directly based off the campaign, out of the remaining 10, the ones that would qualify are
carrier (stranded carrier that could be near the uss obama)
aftermath (clearly los angeles after it got fucked up)
maps that have a somewhat relation (though this is really reaching out) would be
slums (panama, where menendez was thought to be killed by woods' grenade)
express (los angeles, even though the area is not destroyed at all)
plaza (rich nightclub type, plays the same music as in the club level)
which leaves us with raid, standoff, turbine and then nuketown 2025. those have absolutely no connection to the campaign.
if we're to go into dlc maps, the only map that would count is uplink.

apocalypse comes out this thursday for pc/ps3 users.

Man I have the weirdest relation with COD multiplayer, for some reason ever since mw2 I've gotten progressively worse at the game and I have less fun. Maybe this is all because after WaW I switched from consoles to PC, I remember playing COD4 and WaW on consoles as being some of the best fun I've had with the franchise.

I'll probably get it when I get a ps4, playing blops 2 on the pc yesterday and seeing that there are only a few people playing and seeing that had any players was TDM made me realize when it comes to the PC I should have given up on COD years ago.
Yeah, if someone would like to set it up, I'd definitely join in on the clan action. It almost reminds me of how the clan thing worked out in Halo 2, before Xbox Live became a fuller fledged service.

Yeah, as sad as I find it the PC platform doesn't get as much love in the CoD franchise as it should. I'd love for some of the things that are PC exclusive (like leaning and keyboard/mouse controls) to at least be an option for players to mess with, at least out in custom games or something.
i'd totally nab ghosts, but there's no FOV slider, so playing the game will give me a constant headache.

If you want to see "a few people" then check out the Wii U's population at peek hours.
It barely breaks 2.5k most of the time.

I'm getting Ghosts on the Wii U because of much better Black Ops 2 was with the Gamepad. I hope Ghosts takes advantage of it in the same way.

yea but there's also the people who don't buy DLC. I never buy DLC unless it's a really good sale and so I'm always stuck with a lower amount of people. Not just CoD but BF3 too. I play BC2 simply because all of the DLC was free and it's overall more enjoyable than three.
