And people say the look of Call of Duty hasn't changed since Modern Warfare, which is a load of shit, it's still a fun shooter sure, but graphically it has gotten better over the years.
Also why do people ALWAYS mention Call of Duty 4 when they speak of Call of Duty, and how every other game has gone downhill since 4 and that 4 was the best and blah blah bandwagon shite?
it's the exact same engine that's been used since cod 4
the graphics only really went up when bo1 released, and even then mw3 still looked like ass.
bo2 was simply more polished, as is the case here with ghosts (and a few slight engine upgrades).
the point is, you can't just hammer a nail ten more times and expect it to still be as good as it first was when you put it in.
Does anyone else have to download another 20 gigabytes or so even after completely preloading?

Followed this and stopped it from redownloading.
As someone who mostly just does the singleplayer and co-op stuff in COD games and only sometimes does multiplayer, would you think that Ghosts would be worth $60 with what has been shown? I don't know how to make decisions on my own because I'm a mouth-breather so I'm asking you guys.

Apparently the singleplayer campaign is 4-5 hours long so it's probably not worth your $60 if you're not going to be big into multiplayer.
From what I saw the game looked great for MP, but all this sudden hate makes me worried. Anyone has gotten to play it early, is it alright and people are just bashing or are there some issues?

From what I've seen, if you still enjoy Call of Duty then you aren't likely to be disappointed, and equally if you're tired of the series then this isn't likely to reignite your love for it.
Effectively, it looks like another Call of Duty game. Whether or not that's appealing is dependent on the person.

Alright, thats fine for me, I was just worried for some odd reason it was going to be just utter shit and like just bad, I dont know haha. Thanks.

Well we're not really going to know until the game is out are we? :v:

Well yeah, I assumed the feedback I got was from people who haven't played and were shitting on it, but I know it was leaked and I was curious if any of this said stuff was from legitimate players.

is this normal or should i go do the depotcache method
no, apparently the preload was never actually a preload
i was really suspicious of it myself because I had the preload complete for both SP and MP in about 20 minutes. which makes no sense.
so yeah, once the game unlocks i guess you have to actually download the main content files (sounds, textures, map data, etc) since the preload just did the essential runtime shizola
huh, alright, guess i'll let this run through then
really hoping this isn't as bad as everyones making it out to be
hjahaha i know, with steam you're pretty much stuck with it. I don't want to have to joust with them again through visa. I HATE having to refund games but I've been having to do it a lot recently because pretty much every new AAA title that has came out for PC has been a piece of shit. like what the hell. I get consoles are cool and all but if you're going to release a piece of shit then just don't release it at all
knowing activision they won't even make an effort to put out a patch either. they know steam doesn't do refunds so most consumers will just be stuck with the game. i swear i'm in the wrong business: i should be a sellout cash-in like them too

cj is still fucking up, as i expected
I just realized Ghosts uses up almost all 4GB of vram I have, either the textures are huge or there's a major graphics memory leak because once you start the game, in a matter of seconds, vram usage shoots up to 2gb and in another 20 seconds it hits 4gb
Release.

I've found the culprit, the jump in vram usage from high to extra textures is huge, high peaks at 2.2gb while extra peaks at 3.8gb

Sounds like someone there never played CoD 1 or 2. :v:
Their review description even says the changes make it one of the best in the series, but it's the lowest they've ever rated a Call of Duty game. I don't even know what's happening

Just like the new iPhone 5s is rated lower, but it's better. It's because people are beginning to expect more than a couple of upgrades every single year.
Also worth a chuckle

I really wish call of duty games would drop in fucking price because I'd actually really enjoy the single player if the game was like 15 bucks at most
Oh my god the FOV it burns my eyes
The Giant Bomb review makes me more sure of my decision to just wait for the next Treyarch game. Also surprised that Jeff Gerstmann not only likes CoD but is apparently his favorite online shooter.
Bought it for $30 off GMG yesterday, still no key.
I'll be pissed if I missed out on the preorder bonuses.

Apparently they've got no spare keys right now, meaning you're not going to get one tonight/right now, and people are missing out on the bonuses, so.. yeah.
