Played the multiplayer, game is laggy as fuck.
Apparently they've got no spare keys right now, meaning you're not going to get one tonight/right now, and people are missing out on the bonuses, so.. yeah.
Well, GMG can fuck right off then I guess.
IGN gives Call of Duty: Ghosts, [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/0cAzfWH.jpg[/img_thumb] v:v:v
from what i played so far the campaign is ok but crap compared to bo2, the only standout bit so far was the zero g section in the intro, the dog is just fucking annoying
Well if the game is decent or at least BO2 quality and there's a non-bannable fix for the 6gb ram requirement then I might get Ghosts.
oh boy
The metacritic user score of controversial titles is about the most meaningless thing in the world.
Not sure what IGN is on about. The biggest maps were the best ones.
How the fuck do you have massive maps then have the worst spawns yet Everything works great except for the whole spawning in front of all of the bad guys thing
how's the multiplayer?
How the fuck do you have massive maps then have the worst spawns yet Everything works great except for the whole spawning in front of all of the bad guys thing
There are three certainties in life: Death, taxes, and Call of Duty has horrible spawns.
So I bought the game & played some of each game type (on pc). I played on all the highest settings. See below for specs. -Multiplayer I played multiplayer first and it was a bit jumpy at times, even on the main menu. Didn't have a bad experience but having not played a COD game since MW3 (and very little of it), I didn't really notice a HUGE standout difference right away. The colors are very vivid and it does look pretty good, not amazing though. Too bad every other time I went to take a shot the game would get jumpy. I didn't experience any spawn killing or that bullshit, I played 2 games and both were pretty enjoyable. -Single player Single player looks great. I wasn't expecting much after playing the MP but as soon as that first level booted up, followed by the space scene I was stunned by the HD quality and performance of it. The game seems inspired by the low-paced stealthy action in COD4, and not just random full blown battles. The characters are pretty well developed from what I've seen so far, and, without spoilers, there are a few scenes that make you feel for them. After CODMW3 I knew I wasn't going to be buying MW4 if it ever came to be. But Ghosts is a fresh start with a new story, with stunning environments and solid gameplay. So I decided that this would be the one to buy, if any. If you have the extra $, this game will give you some entertainment for sure. Although MP is pretty buggy at the moment, it can still be enjoyable. I also played extinction, but on my in-laws PS3, it was alright, a good effort to overthrow treyarch's zombies. I tried to play on my computer but I couldn't get a connection to a game for whatever reason. SPECS: AMD FX 4130 clocked at 3.8 ghz 10 gigs of DDR3 RAM at 1600mhz Nvidia GTX 660 OC with 2 gigs of ram
Played the multiplayer, game is laggy as fuck.
I get 70fps consistently on most maps but it feels more like 20fps most of the time
Apparently they've got no spare keys right now, meaning you're not going to get one tonight/right now, and people are missing out on the bonuses, so.. yeah.
Noooooooo, at least I got it for $48. Wait if you are in NA you still get the free map. [t]http://i.imgur.com/FgKnZqY.png[/t]
Get shot? Stutters. Look more than 3 degrees in any direction? Stutters. Respawn? Freeze for a few seconds or if you're lucky stutters. 10/10 would buy more ram to play again
how's the multiplayer?
Haven't tried straight up MP yet, but squads is really damn fun.
Bought it for $30 off GMG yesterday, still no key. I'll be pissed if I missed out on the preorder bonuses.
Just now got my key, check again.
So this is the first COD I haven't pre ordered, I'm guessing by the response in this thread I'm guessing it's worth waiting a few months?
So this is the first COD I haven't pre ordered, I'm guessing by the response in this thread I'm guessing it's worth waiting a few months?
Don't bother waiting for them to put the price down, they never will.
So why exactly does this game run like utter shit? From people already playing I heard that it needs immense power and stutters like hell. Not trying to stir up shit just massively dissapointed since CoD Games have always had very limited hardware requirements and were basically a "No-Brainer" that you just booted up and play.
Apparently there is a huge memory leak. In my own experience it runs like shit and stutters if I run around. But if I sit in one corner it runs at a perfect framerate. I also decided to test using a grenade. I threw a grenade onto the ground, and as it blew up my fps turned into a slideshow. After respawning I threw another grenade and it exploded with next to no impact on my fps. So yeah, either a huge memory leak or this is some new "pro-camper" feature.

Even at 4k, that only looks a tiny bit better than Black Ops 2.
The more I look the more I agree, they're really dragging out this engine for as long as possible it seems, but now that we're going to next gen they should really develop a new engine, still they're managing to keep it look alright though. On a side note, I can see myself using the CHAIN SAW alot, no ADS, hip firing only.
they don't have to upgrade anything: people will continue to by their game on name alone
The more I look the more I agree, they're really dragging out this engine for as long as possible it seems, but now that we're going to next gen they should really develop a new engine, still they're managing to keep it look alright though.
Exactly. The engine has served them well on the Xbox 360 and PS3 in keeping with their 60fps goal, but it's no longer acceptable when we're literally 10 days from the next-gen and their main competitor is (technologically) so far ahead. Treyarch has a good two years to work with the new hardware though, so maybe the next game will see a significant leap. [editline]5th November 2013[/editline] Side note: First Xbox One footage of the game apparently. Ouch.
Okay so you can alleviate a fair amount of the stuttering by setting the priority to normal in the task manager.
I'm enjoying the game, however I'm slowly beginning to accept how bad I am at it, KD wise.
this game is amazing it won't even accept my video changes [editline]5th November 2013[/editline] honestly i don't even think you can set your texture settings past "normal" or whatever because there ARE no high-res textures to this game
