You can play online, squad mode, some new fancy bot horde mode similar to MW3's, and the alien mode in 2 player coop. Ghosts is the first CoD game since CoD 2 to not have 4 player splitscreen.
I'm really loving the bigger maps, but disliking the fact that I have to run this on low to get decent FPS. Still pretty fun game though.
Yup, all of this talk has convinced me that I'll wait until Treyarch takes a stab at it next year for my official "Next-Gen" Call of Duty experience. I might still get it in a couple months where I can pawn it off a friend for 5 dollars or something, but there's no way that I can see myself playing Ghosts. Basically, it's just MW3-2: Electric Boogaloo. No Custom Emblems (again-again, you'd think they'd keep it since the two previous GOOD CoD games had them), a revert back to a slightly different MW3 style of class customization, graphics on par with the previous current gen titles, and at that same hefty price of $60 dollars (not counting the inevitable $15 map packs).
It might sound like whine-bagging (especially as static innovation seems to be the norm with the last couple of IW games), but I was REALLY looking forward to Ghosts, since BLOPS2 was surprisingly pleasant. I guess my enthusiasm was misguided.
Just get it when it's on sale or something, and if you do get the 360 version. The PS3 version is supposedly the worst one.
Got this call of duty app to join clans and whatnot.. told me to play a multiplayer match, so I did..
now it's continuously saying "Ghosts app is under maintenance, please try again later"

Bo2 so far has been the best for knifing in terms of letting you do it. Shame that the hit detection and lag comp were so bad they broke the melee and made it a crapshoot if you'd hit an afk person while touching them.
This game has kind of killed the knifing community in a way. No theater mode for bankshots, and knife animations making feeds very slow. I supposed it's possible to career knife in Ghosts, but it won't be anywhere near as fun, and you won't be able to keep up with gunners for the most part.
I would honestly say Im one of the more prominent and known knifers in the CoD PC community, but I don't think im going to play like I did in BO2 [playing with axes as my primary weapon].
In terms of straight up gameplay this looks pretty decent, but there's no way I'm buying this until the bugs and shit are eradicated.

Knifing's been fun so far for me on Ghosts, especially slideknifing, it's so satisfying. Have you tried it yet?

It's weird.
You're only able to do 2 players online but if you go into the updated version of MW3's horde mode (can't remember what it's called) it gives you four slots on the scoreboard for 4 players locally.
